We have a great love for Dogs, especially ours!
Come and meet them!
Samantha - She's a Labrador/Chow mix and
10
years of age. She's one of the most loving, playful dogs I
have ever encountered. The Blue toy (KONG) is her favorite
thing in the world. She carries it around all day and
persistently wants you to throw it to her. She loves to lay
back into your arms and get her tummy rubbed too.
A wonderful "mother" and even helped
raise her daughter's puppies. Samantha, 7 puppies.
Angel had 9 puppies. After Angel delivered, Samantha for
some reason went into our bedroom and took all the stuff animals
off the bed and placed them onto the floor and licked them til
they were soaked. We arrived home and found this. We
decided that it was time for Samantha to see the litter. We
took Angel outside and let Samantha into the garage where the
puppies were, she laid down immediately and started to clean and
nurse the puppies. By the next morning, Samantha had
produced enough milk to feed another army of puppies.
Melvin - One of Angel's pups. This
coy and extremely smart dog is such a lover. He loves to
give hugs and kisses. He can even talk! Yes,
talk! He says "out", "water" (wawa) and
a few others were still trying to figure out. He has a coat of
fur, like silk. Beautiful, soft and shiny. He is
generally shy and reserved, but loves to look at you with his
golden brown eyes and you can read his mind.
Toni - She is also one of Angel's
pups as well. She was adopted out to a wonderful family but when
they needed to move they realized that they couldn't take their
dogs and came back to us to see if we would take here back.
We did! After 3 years of being gone, she was welcomed back
by us, Samantha and Melvin as if she had never left. They
both recognized each other immediately! Toni wants to be #1,
but that won't happen as long as Samantha is with us.
In the years of us being together we have seen a total of
28 dogs and cats come through our lives. Though a
period of that time was very hard with 18 Puppies being
delivered within 12 weeks of each other was not only
amazing, but horrifying! It taught us to be EXTRA
patient and EXTRA careful where we were walking. Each
of those animals received the utmost care, love, affection
and even a good home for those who left us. They all
received a name from rick, both first and middle names.
