I have been in the Restaurant / Hospitality Industry for over 24
years now. I Started at the age of 16 washing dishes at a local Greek
Restaurant, "The Mad Greek".
However, it was always my dream to become a Chef. While spending hours and hours
scraping plates, washing burnt pots, stacking, mopping,
and hauling garbage, the list goes on and on. At times I
have said to myself
, "do I really want to do this kind of stuff the rest of my life?"
Well here I am 27 years later.......and I'm still doing it!
I have done just about every type of job there is in a restaurant.
I have had to work my way through some tough jobs, but at least I got a
chance to be creative. I've have had many mentors and teachers
over the years, and I have had the opportunity to
work with such world renowned chefs as:
Jacque Pepin,
Julia
Childs,
Charlie
Trotter and
Susie Heller, as well as many other fine chefs in the
Cleveland, Ohio.
Pastries are my favorite! I give a new meaning to
"different cakes" this is where my creativity comes out.
Those examples are relatively simple and not over the top.
I love to do gay themed cakes. They can be real fun!
