Dear Prospective Member,
Thank you for inquiring about our local Good Sam chapter. The majority of our members live in the Rock County area, hence the name Rocky Rollers. You may attend several of our events before you decide to join or attend other State chapter’s events to find the club that best suits you. I hope the following will answer some of your questions about our club.

Our outings are planned for the third full weekend of each month and are scheduled well in advance to meet our busy lives. Some members attend a couple outings yearly, while others attend most, if not all gatherings. It just depends upon their available time and interests. We welcome all children, grandchildren and guests.

In January, February and March we hold the gatherings on Saturdays at a local town hall or meet at a restaurant for a friendly meal. Our camping season is from April through October. Camping starts on Friday and lasts through Sunday although some come early or stay late. November we are back to the town hall and in December we have a Christmas party at a local restaurant.

Activities vary at the campouts. On Friday some members may venture out for a fish fry while others relax around a campfire. Saturday may vary from breakfast together, touring local attractions, holding our meetings or gathering for group activities around the campsites. We have never been a chapter that goes hungry. We may barbeque chicken, roast a turkey or have an old fashioned potluck.

The Wagon master’s campground selections vary. Some will have pools, enclosed shelters and other amenities or the campground may be selected for the area’s attractions. We try not to travel too far for the campgrounds. Campsite distances may vary from 10 miles to 100 miles.

In past years we have taken long trips, which have included Branson, Dollywood, Black Hills, and Cheyenne Frontier Days. Future vacations in discussion are Niagara Falls, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and a historic tour to Tennessee. This all depends upon the interests of the members.
