"ROCK CASTLE HUNT CLUB" is located near Jamestown Tennessee which is in Fentress County. We are roughly half-way between Nashville and Knoxville about a 35 minute drive from I-40.
We are in Unit B" as designated by TWRA regulations.
The area known as "Rock Castle" near Jamestown Tennessee in Fentress County is one of the last true "unhunted" tracts of land that I know of. For the last 20 years or so a local landowner allowed ABSOLUTELY NO BIG GAME HUNTING on the property. He patrolled it regularly, especially during hunting season and kept most people from venturing onto the property, except for the 2-3 tours he would give of the natural bridges and scenic beauty of the area each year. With few areas of easy access very few hunters dared to venture onto the property. I am sure some of the fringe areas were hunted but the core 2/3rds of the property has had no deer/turkey hunter traffic at all. Having had permission to coonhunt the property for the last few years on a very limited basis (2-3 nights a year), the amount of deer sign and large buck sign we encountered had me "chomping at the bits" to lease this property, as I tried to , for 5 years, to no avail. Recently the property has changed hands and I was fortunate enough to have the first oppurtunity to lease this area.
The 2004/2005 hunting seson will be our second year leasing this tract of land.

* Rockcastle Valley is approximately 5 miles long and 1 mile wide with rock outcroppings, and numerous hardwood hillsides encompassing the area.
* Rock castle falls are located at the head of the valley
* Natural bridge above falls
* Hunt club consists of nearly 2800 acres of mature hardwoods hiding many old homesteads with numerous farms and "green fields" surrounding the property.
* Camping allowed on lease or motels only 5 minutes from lease. there is a cbin that borders the property that could possibly be leased by members as well.
* Deer , Wild Boar, turkley and a mixed bag of small game from Squirrel to Coyotes can be found in 'the castle".
* Rock Castle is bordered by numerous small farms and green fields on one side and a 3,000 acre Bowater wildlife sanctuary, and a 12,000 acre intensly managed "pay to hunt" property that offers wild boar and deer to hunters from all over the country.
* membership fees are $600.oo this offers hunters to not only hunt deer and turkey but a chance to hunt Wild boar YEAR AROUND!!
* membership is limited to 25 hunters.
* Dues are due in full by the first Monday in July.

One year membership...... $600.oo
This entitles a paying member of Rock Castle Hunt Club to all hunting rights and recreational use for one year (July to July) .

* Be courteous to fellow club members
* One guest day per segment of season.. Three (3) total for deer season and One (1) total for turkey. Days CANNOT "rollover" from archery to Muzzleloader to Gun . Turkey season you can have 2 guest days but no more than one guest at a time.
* Children under the age of 16 can hunt free of charge as long as they are with a lease member
* No antler restrictions or size limits . If it's legal its fair game. Just remember though..that little spike chasing that doe may have his grandpa in tow LOL!
