General information:
All of my composition and reading courses are Moodle enhanced, so some online writing and group work is required. I will write Honors contracts for qualified students who would like Honors credit in my transfer level courses. Additional resources are available in the English 1L lab for all students enrolled in English 1A, 1B, and 1C. Click on the links below for more information.

My background :
I was born in Santa Rosa, California and attended Santa Rosa Junior College before moving to San Jose to attend San Jose State University. I have a B.A. and M.A. in English with a community college composition certificate and a TESOL certificate from San Jose State, and a reading certificate from San Francisco State. After earning my M.A. I worked in international trade, workforce training, and public policy positions in the technology industry for 20 years and was Executive Director of the Bay Area Council of AeA (American Electronics Association). I've taught English and reading at De Anza and Mission Colleges in addition to Evergreen Valley College; I've been at EVC since 2002. My husband and I live in Evergreen and have one son, Matthew, who's 29 and lives in San Jose.
