After suriving Hayes Barber's twisted plot, Marcie runs into Hugh. As he tries to find out how she's doing, Michael sticks his nose in. A bad trend would soon develop.

After a visit with Nick in the hospital, Marcie is upset. Hugh does his best to calm her fears which prompts her to ask: "Why are you so nice to me."
Coffee between friends:
After Hayes' arrainment, (the ADA's first case,) Hugh offers to buy Marcie coffee.
Yes, ladies, the man is a stud:
Hugh does some flirting with the Williamson sisters.
A little flirting never hurt anyone:
Marcie runs into Hugh at The Palace. Hugh is there with a date and Marcie makes fun of his lack of interest.
Verdant? Now that's my kind of man:
Over drinks at Capricon, Hugh and Marcie get to know each other better as their slight flirtation grows.
At the Blood Drive:
Hugh and Marcie go to give blood. Too bad for Hugh, Michael is the one who takes his blood and he isn't gentle. Later, Hugh faints.
At the Diner:
Hugh catches Marcie writing about him. When she finally allows him to read what she wrote, he's not too happy, but he can't stay mad at her long. Hugh snatches the entry without her knowing.

At Rodi's, Marcie and Hugh bond over made up stories about people at the bar. Then, after weeks, Hugh finally ask Marcie out on a real date. (His speech at the end--Swoon! My fave Hugh moment.)
You were born to blog, baby:
Marcie is shocked to learn that Hugh took her journal and made a blog with it. She's furious at first, then Hugh, with the help of Rex, convince her to give the blog writing a shot.
