Trying to take that next step October 17, 2005

Hugh is amazed when Marcie creates an entire story just from one look at a man standing at the bar.

After giving blood, Marcie and Hugh head to Rodie's together.

"I'd say she's a woman who's changed a lot lately.  She used to be kind of wacky, didn't take life too seriously.  But then it got more serious than she ever dreamed it could be."

Marcie asks Hugh to take a turn. She picks a woman at the bar.

"But she's determined not to let the things she's suffered get in her way.  She's got her whole future ahead.  And for the first time in her life, she's looking forward to discovering the woman she's growing into." As Marcie realizes who Hugh is talking about, she can't hide her smile.

Taking advantage of the moment, Hugh finally gets the nerve to ask Marcie out on a real date.
