FAQ

Well, not many people have asked me questions yet, so I'll make some up.

Q: What is RMC?
A: RMC stands for Ron's MUD Client. It is a client application for connecting to a MUD server.

Q: What is a MUD?
A: MUD stands for Multi-User Dungeon. It is basically a massively multi-player game played over the Internet. A good place to find out more is the MUD Connector page. It explains MUDding and has a comprehensive list of hundreds of MUD's.

Q: I tried to choose a MUD from the list, but the list is blank. What's up with that?
A: The list is stored in the file .rmclist in your home directory. If this file does not exist, then the list will be blank. Click on the "Update" button to download the latest list.

Q: I set my font to this really cool one, but a lot of the ASCII art is messed up. Why?
A: More than likely you choose a variable-width font. This is okay, but the letters may not line up correctly, causing ugly displays in ASCII art and also in some MUD's "who" lists. If you don't need a variable-width font, choose a system or fixed font.
