ENLISTED: 25 December 1862, Peach Orchard, Lawrence County, KY.

MILITARY DATA: He became totally disabled: curvature of spine after being thrown from his horse, chronic abscess on his back, from exposure - frostbitten feet and “ a harassing cough,” infection in his eyes and was later nearly blind. Was AWOL a number of times. At times was being treated for illnesses. Deserted from Louisa, KY, 11 August, 1864, and returned October 1, 1864. Had to forfeit one month’s pay and perform 30 days’ labor “on the fort” – Ft. Bishop at Louisa, KY.

MUSTERED OUT: 15 September, 1865, at Louisville, KY.

FAMILY DATA: Born 1843 on Peter Creek, Pike County, KY; the son of Edward and Isabelle Coleman Goff (Isabelle a sister to Denny Coleman); Wife: Rebecca Ramey; Children - Ellison, Ned, Paris, Jackson, Betsey, Oley.

RESIDENCES: Raccoon Creek, P.O.: Zebulon, Pike County, KY.

DEATH: 17 November, 1914, at Zebulon, Pike County, KY.
