MILITARY DATA: He died 9 April, 1864, of measles at Louisa Hospital. His wife Lucy attended him there. She died four or five days after him from the same disease. Witnesses to their deaths were: John Dils, Jr. and S. Ferguson. Harrison Ratliff (Private Co. D), Ezekial Prater (Private Co. F), David Campbell (Sgt. Co. D) also testified as they were also patients at the hospital at that time.
