Private Harmon Hall


Biography

Harmon Hall was born about 1830 in Pike County. He was the son of Samuel Hall Sr. and Spicy Ray. He and parents are in the 1850 Pike County Census. Harmon married Francis Elliott, daughter of Stephen Elliott and Lydia Hall and they were living in Floyd County Kentucky in 1860. At least some of their children were: William born 1865, Liddy born 1868, Drury born 1873 and Sias born 1874.

Harmon enlisted in the 39th Kentucky on the 16th of November 1862 and was assigned to Company K. He was mustered out of the service with the rest of his company on September 15, 1865 in Louisville. In 1874 he and his wife are living on the left fork of Beaver Creek.

On the 27th of August 1890, Harmon applied for an invalid pension, #405,481. He is buried in the Ike Robinson Cemetery on Rt. 979, 3 miles south of Grethel, Floyd County Kentucky.
