Cyathea) IDENTIFYING FEATURES: * base of stipe green, especially obvious while frond is unfurling * frond light green, pinnae opposite, pinnules fairly thin * stipe base covered with abundant deciduous long dark scales (not shown) but also persistent long curved erect bristle-like 'scales' * fairly slender untidy trunk * sori quite small; indusium brown, semi-circular, entirely on inner side of sorus |
