"Give the buried flower a dream..."
from "To the Thawing Wind" by Robert Frost

I hope that students who use this page will understand that although I am concerned with form and product, the magic of all writing rests in the writer's thoughts, the thoughts which begin as buried seeds.

The following areas of interest are designed to accompany the literature and writing units that will be presented by me,  Mrs. Rosemarie Fairman, at Beaumont School .

My students should be aware of the different levels presented.  Students in Freshman Literature will have different requirements and rubrics than the students in British Literature. In fact, each class will probably have slightly different emphasis placed on skills, points of analysis, or elements. Each group of students is a unique assemblage of individuals; therefore, the foci for study, student development, and product preparation will rarely be repeated in exactly the same way.  General material, applicable to most high school literature studies, is presented here.

This page is definitely under construction.  I hope what is here will be helpful.  The pages will become more complete as time allows.

In creating this page, I have received a great deal of assistance from my husband, Jonathan Fairman . I am grateful that he was always around to help me unravel the problems I created for myself.

Write me.
