PROJECT 1 :IDX-96 DATA EXCHANGE

IDX-96 is a 96 ports PACKET SWITCHING EXCHANGE which ca be used as a Node in a Packet Switched Public data network(PSPDN) or as a node in Private Data Com--munication network.46 ports for telex and 46 ports for RS232.

ROLE-:

DEVALOPMENT OF MMI(Man Mashine Interface) SOFTWARE FOR IDX-96.

This sofware is used to download database,superwisery control

and billing information for IDX-96.

Laguage Used: C and Assembly.

Debugging tool used:ICE86.


PROJECT 2: :IPX-64 DATA EXCHANGE

IPX-64 is a 64 ports PACKET SWITCHING EXCHANGE which ca be used as a Node in

a Packet Switched Public data network(PSPDN) or as a node in Private Data Com-

-munication network.This switch can be used for providing interconnection to

both X.28 and X.25 terminals and to provide access PSPDN.

ROLE-:

DEVALOPMENT OF L2 AND DEVICE DRIVER SOFTWARE FOR IPX-64.

device driver software is used to test IPX card.

PROJECT 3: DATA INTERFACE CARD FOR SCPC VSAT AND TST

Invloved in the software development for Data interface card.Data interface card  provides interface for data to three different users from the main SCPC euipment.

It takes synchronous data in the form of X.25 packets from the SCPC equipment and supports Telex, RS232C (Asynchronous) and Synchronous(X.25 terminal) at the user end.

It is required to disassemble X.25 packets into Telex data or Async.data and assemble Telex or async. data into X.25 packets in the software.Thus the software involves implemening PAD(Packet assembler and disassembler)functions,X.25 lower two layers (L1 and L2) for the above specified card.

ROLE-:

DEVALOPMENT OF SOFTWARE FOR DI.

This sofware is used to data transfer between two PCs through sattelite at the speed of 4.8 Kbps.

PROJECT 4: X.25 ADDON CARD FOR PC AT

Designed and developed X.25 add on card for PC AT.Any PC with this card works as a packet mode DTE/Administrative processor in the IPX network. The card uses Xilinx FPGA logic to implement the control logic.

One port of this card will be configured as Man Machine Interface and other port will be X.25 port.
