This page will deal with all of my favorite Audio applications and tools that I use as well as coming reviews and what such.  My ideal format that I deal with is MP3 but I do tend to favor WMA for its strict DRM protection that can be assigned.  This work is in progress and I look forward to updating it on a regular basis.  Im going to post one  2 MP3 files per month, I wont be archiving so its up to the user to right click and save target.  The first cease and desist and I am pulling this feature.

Updated new files for the month

Oct  3, 2004

Uploaded my new files for October.  I have heard it being bitched that I changed from MP3 to WMA, Microsofts format.  It hasnt halted downloads tho.  I made the best choice possible.  Audio at 64k sucks and sounds scratchy in MP3, where as WMA sounds better and it is supported by 95% of the devices out here.  I have yet to see a player that supports OGG.

Sept 1, 2004

Nothing has changed this month in the top MP3 list.  I am now listening to Lucky Boys Confusion and Evanescence..  Atari from Commitment and The Atari's  Boys of Summer are the downloads this month.

These Music files are saved in WMA format at 64KPS, a little bit better than radio.  If you want better quality sound do buy the CD or purchase them from the Apple music store or the Music store of your choice.  They are compressed in zip to save space and save bandwidth

Adobe Audition --  I use this tool for editing my own audio, very good conversion utility only one flaw, if you convert ito WMA or vice versa (WMA to MP3) it does not retain the information in your tags.  This tool is good for artists or other professional who need to alter their own audio files.

Windows Media Encoder -- Free tool from Microsoft for users to convert MP3 and some other formats to WMA 9.  This is only available for Windows and yes it runs under Crossover Office on Linux.  This also edits WMV video files as well

Audacity -- This is an Open Source project to create an Audio editor , good utility for a developer project I do hope it gains some traction.  And it would technically be the first usable Audio editor for Linux.
