WRITING ON QUILT LABELS

When making a label for your quilt, stabilize the label fabric with freezer paper ironed onto the wrong side of the fabric. Before pressing the paper onto the fabric, draw lines onto the paper side of the freezer paper to help you write straight, then press with the shinny side down onto the back of the label fabric. Remove the freezer paper before stitching the label onto your quilt.

Needle a Pain, 9/11/02

If needle pricks are causing you to have increased finger pain, try using reusable stick-on barrier pads. Choose between soft plastic Thimble-Its and soft leather Thimble-Pads. The pads work like a callus to protect your finger. They are so comfortable you will forget you are wearing them.
