The Three Musketeers

While sitting home awaiting the rest of the Thin Lizzy Farewell Tour dates and being bored in London,Philip Lynott formed this band legends say,and set up a Folk Park Tour In Sweden. Actually this tour was a Philip Lynott Solo tour,but in Ireland this band was nicknamed "The Three Musketeers" as Phil brought along Brian Downey(drums) and John Sykes(guitars) from Thin Lizzy on this tour.Mark Stanway from Magnum(keyboards) and the old friend Doish Nagle(guitars) completed the lineup of the band.The Musketeers ended up being the early version of Grand Slam,as all five "musketeers" were part of the early stages of Grand Slam,but as John Sykes joined Whitesnake and Brian Downey had to pull out due to health reasons,Stanway and Nagle were the only ones ending up touring and recording with Grand Slam in 1984.
