Disc Brake Upgrade

The stock single chamber master cylinder was replaced with a dual chamber unit from ECE. This is a must upgrade for safety reasons alone. The kit they supplied includes the proportioning valve and pre-bent interconnecting hydraulic lines. Also pictured is the power brake booster unit, which fits neatly between the master cylinder and firewall.  These pictures show an old version of the master cylinder and proportioning valve setup. I ended up using a proportioning value from a Corvette that has two lines that feed each front brake.  (The one pictured is designed to run a single line down to the front cross member then tees to each disc brake)
The Early Classic Disc Brake kit allowed me to reuse all  my stock suspension componenets without any modification.  I just sand blasted and powder coated each piece and re-assembled.  The only things new are the ball joints, tie rod ends and hardware.

You can see from these pictures sand blasting and powder coating breathes new life in old frames and suspension components.
These pictures clearly show the 12 inch vented rotors and calipers.  The 6 lug version of this kit has a 5 1/2 inch bolt circle.  As a result you are limited to wheel styles designed for SUVs.
