Body Work
After media blasitng, I primed the interior of the cab with Glasurits epoxy primer.  The cab was then turned over to Huffenbergers's Francisco Solis for the necessary bodywork before painting
Both the interior and the exterior of the cab needed some attention.  The picture to the upper right shows the necessary bodywork to  bring the cab top back to and acceptable finish.  On the far side (not shown) are small patch panels welded in to fix some rust through.
The
IDIDIT tilt steering wheel is primed and trial fitted.
The interior door surfaces had plenty of nicks and dents after 35 years of use and abuse.
Because they were going to have  door panels, most of the interior door surface repair was kept to a minimum.
The exterior surfaces of the doors were more important to get right because there was no hiding body work when the shiney Glasurit black was sprayed on!  These pictures show the primed, filled and blocked doors before final paint.

I used a Sharpe Platinum HVLP spray gun for most of the priming.  The media blasted surfaces were clean and had a 'tooth' which greatly aids in primer adhesion.  I followed Autobodystore.com BB to learn about all of the necessary steps needed to provide a sound foundation for the paint.
This is not a picture of Poncho or Anton, although I felt like I was dealing with this guy!  Real perfectionists.
