ST KILDA ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND
St Kilda is a tiny coastal community about 20km north of Adelaide, but a world away from the suburbs, which stretch past it off to the east. On the foreshore is a large adventure playground, where we spent the morning on giant slippery dips, long flying foxes, finding our way through mazes and tunnels, riding giant swings, and all that fun stuff. There was also a huge lawned area where we had a picnic lunch along with about a hundred other families who decided to spend this unusually warm and sunny winter's day out at St Kilda.
The "wreck" of an old pirate ship is beached at the edge of the playground. Brady and Cooper managed to get themselves locked in the brig.
As we were leaving the pirate ship we heard Cooper call out, and turned around to see him "flying" on one of the canons, about 3 metres off the ground.
Riding the flying foxes - a fun ride for the boys but a long way for their dad to run the thing back up to the top!
