CALL TO ARMS Eternal soldier, arise Harken to the battle cries Years ago, dead and gone, Seems rest has not been long. Come now and stand, hear the cry Today, again, your brothers may die I answer, I come, brothers mine Returning through the mists From and endless journey, in time Part of me, timeless, sitll exists This ever faithful soul of mine Faye Sizemore copyright FEB 06, 2003 |
POWS Do they know that we care? Those soldiers still imprisoned today A lifetime and war turn a world away To be left somewhere in a prisoner's cage As if they are forgotten from history's page They have no way to possibly know How much they are still missed so They must be cursing this country A country they were so proud of That they fought to keep free Please let them know somehow Do not let their spirits bow Give them a sign, please God above Let them know we are still searching Still remembering them with love Faye Sizemore copyright MAY 07, 2002 |
IMAGINE There is nothing as overpowering As the realization that The Wall Etches fifty-eight thousand plus Names of those who gave their all Imagine all of these soldiers All of these lives erased Gone forever and ever Without even a trace All those gone from our lives All those lost to their families Imagine if you can, their suffering WILL NEVER FORGET Truly, IS IT not overpowering Faye Sizemore copyright NOV 08, 2002 |
HARK Hark, it is again, the Eleventh hour Do you know where your Children are? Could they be on a ship headed for a foriegn land If you could call them back, wouldn't it be grand Are they fighting through the skies ina fighter plane Going on their way to fight for freedom again This generation has been good at breeding war And, now, on our Children falls the chore I saw our sons as they were trudging through the sands Carrying our hopes along with the rifles in their hands Hark, it is again the Eleventh hour Do you know where your Children are?
