The Heavens Declare His Glory

The heavens declare His glory;
The prophets foretold His life.
He was the true Messiah...
To undergo much strife.

He came as a little baby,
The Angels announced His birth.
This precious child, Jesus:
God's blessed gift to earth.

He grew in stature as a child.
In God's Temple, He even taught.
Full of controversy was His life;
This man, even gentiles sought.

This man was a righteous man.
Not once did He e'er sin.
Though tempted in all ways by Satan;
Yet He would not give in.

John the Baptist recognized Him;
By the Spirit in the form of a dove.
This man was authoritative.
He taught men to love.

Men listened to His preaching...
Profound teachings to be sure.
Taught the truth in righteousness:
Teachings that were pure.

He went to His cross in love,
He was the purchase price.
For you and me, He took up His Cross.
For you and me, He bled and died.

He performed many miracles,
And His story's still not done.
He's still saving souls to God;
Won't stop 'til the very last one.
