Satan wants to be your god.
He wants to rule your life.
He will hit you with all sorts of things,
He will bring about much strife.

He is the god of this world system.
He strives to draw you away,
But Jesus is victorious ,
And bids you rest today.

Jesus is our sabbath rest.
It is finished; the work is done.
Satan need not bother you...
For Jesus, your battles, has won.

Yes, Jesus is our sabbath rest.
In Him alone, should we rely.
For by Jesus' redemptive work at Calvary,
Satan has been denied.
