"Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time?  who hath told it from that time?  have not I the Lord?  and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.  Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else."  (Isaiah 45:21-22)

Diety of Christ

"
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garmet? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell? [The assertion is that the Creator God has a Son equal with Himself.]"  (Proverbs 30:4)

"THE Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand..." [If David called his own son by a title of Diety, how can He also be his son?  The answer is that God's Spirit was predicting that the Messiah would be both truly man and fully God united in one person.]  (Psalms 110:1)

"[A] virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel [God with us]." (Isaiah 7:14)

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:...his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."  (Isaiah 9:6)

"Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am [see Exodus 3:14]." (John 8:58)

"[T]he Father is in me, and I in Him." (John 10:38)

"[H]e that hath seen me hath seen the Father...Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." (John 14:9-10)

"[T]he eternal Spirit..." (Hebrews 9:14)

Analogies

Analogies, while never perfect, can help in grasping a concept that is otherwise difficult to understand.  Here are a few that might help to grasp the conccpt of the Trinity:

Time - Past, Present, Future
Dimension - Length, Width, Depth
God's Creation - Animal, Mineral, Vegetable
Matter - Gas, Liquid, Solid
Primary Colors - Red, Yellow, Blue
Mankind - Body, Soul, Spirit
Scripture Supports The Trinity
- by Rick La Riviere
Grasping the concept of the Trinity is sometimes a difficult challenge.  An analogy I like to use is the spectrum of light.  The entire spectrum is made up of three primary colors: red, yellow, and blue.  Each one of these colors has its own distinct characteristics such as wavelength.  If one of these colors is missing then the spectrum of light would be incomplete.  There are not three seperate spectrums - only one.  Similarily, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, while one God, each have there own distinct qualities or characteristics.  To deny the deity of either the Son or the Spirit, because they possess different characteristics, would give us an incomplete picture of who and what God really is.  The result would be a false God.
