Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow

A Profile of the Rockwell Falls Choir

Our choir members are the music leaders here at Rockwell Falls Presbyterian. There are between 18 and 25 of us - plus some horn players and guitarists and percussionists from time to time. We are mostly amateurs, but most read music and those who don't are great listeners and quick studies! A few of us have had some experience in working on a professional level with bands in the field of Country Music, so we have a leaning towards Southern Gospel Quartet stye muisic. This has not stopped us from performing some chorales from The Messiah and many contemporary "Pop" style songs, but our true love is Southern Gospel. We have several duos, trios and quartets that augment our services from time to time. Our Director is our resident organist and also our pedal steel guitarist when needed.

Our Music Ministry has developed to the point where we can reach beyond our own church and into the surrounding communities. Rockwell Falls Presbyterian is headquarters for our local community choir also. The Community Choir numbers around 40 and we do concerts at Christmas and at Pentecost. This year, we have an extra performance - The town of Hadley Bicentennial will terminate with an ecumenical service at the town park where we will lead the music portion and perform a short concert afterward of patriotic songs and good old southern gospel music! If you've seen the Gaither Homecoming videos, then you have an idea what we do!

We will sing for weddings, funerals, baptisms and all services. We also sing for fun and always for Jesus! We help to support our ministry by selling tapes and CDs. There are plenty on hand, so don't hesitate to email us regarding them

God Bless and keep your lamps trimmed!
