I was asked to write a short story about my life
as a minister's daughter. Actually it never seemed
much different, except that I was blessed to have
such a good family. I don't remember my parents ever
fighting. I remember my mom being upset once but it
was over something silly. I'm sure they probably
argued but it was never in front of us. I was also
blessed with a wonderful brother and sisters. I don't
remember us fighting at all, maybe once or twice.
Then I grew up and life got tougher. If it weren't
for my family, I probably wouldn't have made it
through. They made me know that I am a good person
and God loves me unconditionally; and for all that I
am blessed.
I did worry about my Dad allot. I worried about
what Church people thought of me, but I was always
proud of my Dad. I guess that's why I was proud to be
a minister's daughter. I did get allot of comments
like, "She's a minister's daughter. Don't swear
in front of her. She's such a good girl." and so
on. And then there were the comments like, "I
heard about minister's daughters, they're trouble."
But I always knew they were just joking.
Well, I could go on and tell you many stories of
things my father and mother have done for me, but if
anyone reading this knows me they can see that my
parents are still there for me.
I love my family and therefore I am blessed. Love
is the difference in every situation. God loves
everyone unconditionally and so should we. Love is a
very small word but it is very powerful.

PS I only cried about ten times writing this.
