LIFE
Question: Will you be ready when the death angel appears?

Human beings tend to attach themselves to the few materialistic gains of this world while forgetting the endless hapiness of the hereafter
"And to Allah belongs the domain and the earth and that is between them, And to him is the return" (Al Maa'idah:18)

If the present world were to be worth the wing of a mosquito in the reckoning of Allah, He would not give a disbeliever a drink of water from it" Tirmidhi
Question: What keeps us preoccupied in this worldly life?

The Most High says: "Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold, silver branded beautiful horses, cattle and well tilted land. This is the pleasure of the present world's life, but with Allah is the excellent return. ( Al'Imraan:14)
Nasheed:
"Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you and rivalry in respect of wealth and children, as the likeness of vegetation after rain, thereof growth is pleasing to the tiller, afterwards it dries up and you see it turning yellow then it becomes straw. But in the hereafter a severe torment and forgiveness from Allah and good pleasure whereas the life of this world is only a deceiving enjoyment" ( Al Aadeed:20)
Therefore we should be ready and waiting for the eternal gifts of Allah. Imagine for yourself, right now a moment of pleaure in paradise tasting the fruits and the cool drinks... And yet, the pleasure in paradise is even more because our mind cannot imagine: In paradise, there is what no eye has seen, nor ear heard nor occurred to the heart of man.

Listen to the words of the Great, The Forgiver:

"...and the angels shall enter upon them from every gate (with the salutation) "Peace be upon you for that you persevered in patience, excellent indeed is the final home," (Ar-rad:23)
GHURABAA - THE STRANGERS
What is Ghurabaa? In arabic, it means " to go away, depart, absent" and ghareeb means "strange, foreign"

The concept of Ghurbah- Strangeness
It has been reported that the Messenger of Allah said in an authentic hadeeth:

Indeed Islaam began as something strange. And it will return as something strange the way it began. So give 'Tooba' to the strangers!

This hadeeth shows us the true nature of the Islaamic Revival. The Islaamic revivals that took place over 1400 years ago had this nature of 'strangeness' and indeed the revival we are witnessing in our time also has the very same nature. History has proof that people who reject faith and disobeyed Allah usually outnumbered those who were loyal to Allah and his Messenger, peace be upon him. Thus they became the 'strangers' in the community for going against the current of the society they were living in.

The True Believers will always be in minority in this world. The believers will look like a stranger in their midst. His belief, his actions and way of life will be completely different from theirs. The disbelievers may even do their best to make him feel like a stranger, someone with strange ideas and practices. Therefore it is inevitable that the Muslims will have to go through hardship, endless struggle, persecution and exile in the same way as the first part of this Ummah went through.

In the last few centuries we noticed the decline of Islaam when the Muslims allowed kufr and shirk to enter their ranks from grave worshipping to secularism. People of innovations and desires were free to spread their desires throughout the Muslim lands. The kuffar invaded Muslim lands and enforced their religion and man-made laws. In the midst of this calamity, Allah raised among his Ummah various personalities who held the flag of Islaam high up.

Today by the grace of Allah  we can see the return of Islaam in front of our very eyes. When a person begins to take interest in Islaam and increases his islamic knowledge he establishes salaat, siyaam, zakaah and hajj. If this brother, he grows a beard or if this is a sister, she wears hijaab thus becoming a stranger- sometimes in their own household!

These are the strangers who are the torchbearers of Tawheed, those who restore the honour of this Ummah and bring back to her peace and security she once enjoyed

These are the strangers who are given the glad tidings of Paradise, as in the last part of the hadeeth "So tooba for the Ghurabaa"

Tooba is a tree in paradise. This glad tiding of the tree of tooba for the strangers should make us all wish, strive and aspire to be from among the strangers in this time in which Islaam has truely become strange again.

May Allah make us from the strangers in this world and the inheritors of tooba in the hereafter. Aameen
