Maybe you're wondering about the spiral that I used for some of the pages' background. Well, the spiral is an ancient symbol dating back into prehistory.  The Native Americans (yes, the people whom Columbus, in his ignorance, called Indians),  as they migrated into the Americas, left clues to their presence especially along migratory paths.  Some people believe the spiral is a symbol to represent the nomadic/migratory nature of these peoples.  Others believe it is a symbol that represents life itself.  Perhaps it shows that your path can be long and winding and yet you will still get to your intended destination?  I found the latter explanation to be intriguing.
