It’s hard to believe the Holiday season is here, and 2007 is upon us. 2007 will be an exciting year for our Lodge, for those of you who don’t know on November 20th, the Revere City Council unanimously approved our application for a special permit to allow us to construct a 2nd floor addition to our Lodge, which will be used as our new Social Quarters. Construction will began in early spring 2007 approximate finish time 1 year. Your newsletter will carry all the updates as they occur.
Check out our Newsletter for upcoming dates for our Christmas and New Years Eve parties, also requirements for the childrens’s party. Our Columbus Day celebration was a huge success; all who attended had a great time. A big Thank You to Louie Larosa for loaning us his trailer which was used as our float in the parade, and to Chris Galatis for his help in securing the trailer.
We have a blood drive on December 5th; please try to give, as there is a shortage of blood this year. To all people who give blood your name is automatically entered into a drawing for 2 tickets to a Bruins game, drawing will be held the same day at 5 pm; you will be notified if you win. Come down and visit our Social Quarters at night as, we have started a Bingo-Poker at the bar. $1 for a set of three cards, buy as many sets as you like and win some exciting prizes, such as dinner for two at a local restaurant, Stop and Shop gift certificates, gas cards, DVD Players and many more prizes.
The Toys for Tots box is in our Social Quarters, please open your hearts and donate a Toy for a needy child, gifts must be in by December 17th. We also have a used cell phone drive to help our servicemen and women. These phones are recycled for their parts and benefit our soldiers with phone cards so they can call home to their loved ones. Please give if you can. Texas Hold-em December 3rd, and countdown to Superbowl begins in January. HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON.
