My brother, Josh, and I caught the Lisa Loeb show at the Purdue Ballroom. She put on a really great show, and we got there relatively early, so we had good seats. She played songs off her new album, "Cake and Pie" as well as some older ones, like "Sandelwood," "Rose-Colored Times" and, of course, "I Do" and "Stay." She was really cool about talking to the audience, and related stories about walking around campus and watching people play frisbee and getting her hair cut at a local place. She told some of the backstory about the songs she sang, mentioning that "You Don't Know Me," off her new album, is about Diva Zappa, little siste of her boyfriend Dweezil (Frank's kids). We had actually hoped that maybe Dweezil would playing back-up, since he added guitar tracks to many of the songs on her new disc, but, alas, he was not. She did have a really good guitarist with her, whose name I don't remember, though.

One of the highlights of the evening, for us, was when, while people were calling out requests, Josh yelled "Crazy Train" and she actually played it! It was hilarious to hear Ozzy sung in a female voice, with an acoustic guitar. She played a little (with us feeding her the words from 15 feet away) and even added it into the bridge of another song. She was a good sport about the whole thing, and very funny.

After the show, we waited in line for about an hour and a half to get autographs and photos. We were almost at the end, but she was still really nice to us. When I asked if she'd draw a picture with her autograph, she made a kick-ass "Krazee Train" :) She puts on a really great show (even Josh, the NIN-Tool-Manson freak enjoyed himself) and we had a great time!
