Supporting the Wabash Valley

The Arc of Vigo County was founded by a group of local parents, educators, business people, and other concerned citizens who recognized the need to foster the development of local programs to serve people with developmental disabilities to enable them to live at home with their families rather than being sent out of the community to distant segregated institutions.

From its beginning, the organization has been receptive to the unmet needs of citizens with disabilities in the Wabash Valley, and often rose to the challenge of meeting those needs.
