The Holocaust
Welcome to our website! We are a group of students from Rutger's University in Camden, NJ who take a class on religion and psychology! We hope you will take the time to view our site which delves into both the religious and psychological aspects of the Holocaust.

Thanks!

The Holocaust was the name given to a period of our history of both extermination and persecution of groups of people, which began during Hitler's rise to power in 1933.  Jews as well as a variety of other people living in Europe during this period were persecuted and sent to concentration camps where they, for the most part, met with their death.  Hitler used these death camps as "the final solution of the Jewish question."  Following the Holocaust, those involved were tried and punished for their acts while survivors attempted to piece their lives back together.  Museums and memorials have been established worldwide in an attempt to preserve the memory of the Holocaust.
