Beaches Karachi's golden uncrowded beaches stretch for miles. the more accessible of them Sandspit, Hawks Bay and Paradise Point are within a radius of 10 to 20 km from the city, and about 30 minutes' drive away. Visitors may enjoy the cool sea breeze while strolling on the sands or take a ride on gaily decorated camel. Beach huts are dotted along the shore some available for hire. For reasons of safety, care must be taken to swim only in the prescribed areas as there is always a strong undercurrent. In May and June watch out for jelly fish. On moonlit nights, during the months of September and October, giant green turtles lumber ashore to lay eggs in the sand. The turtles are under the protection of the Wild Life Management Board.

Keenjhar lake This beautiful man made lake is a combination of two natural lakes called Sunheri and Keenjhar. The place has been developed into a resort with boating and fishing facilities. Accommodation is available in motels and cabanas. It is two hours' drive and 115 km away from Karachi.

French Beach

The French Beach, located half way between Hawks Bay and Paradise Point, is in fact a small fishing village known to the locals as Haji Abdullah Goth. Surrounded by a boundary wall, it has some 20 huts constructed by villagers for hire. There are no facilities of running water or electricity. The rocky beach and their own equipment as well as food and drink supplies.

Clifton Beach and the Funland Closer to the city, is Clifton beach where Karachiites flock at weekends and holidays to enjoy the sea breeze as well as horse and camel rides. Stalls selling shell products are scattered all over. Clifton has an amusement park with a bowling alley, and an seaquarium. For souvenirs of brassware, carved silverware, gold and silver jewellery, embroidery, delicate mirror-work of Sindh, handloom tapestries, printed fabrics, lacquer ware, camel skin articles and carved wood work etc.

Karachi is well known for it’s beaches, and rightfully so. Our beaches are fabulously beautiful, and there is nothing better than a day at the beach. This is the most visited as it is the only beach that is in the immediate city, close that is. All the other ones are farther away. Although it is quite polluted, it is still beautiful, and is a nice place to go, for a peaceful walk on the beach.

French Beach

This is the finest beach in Karachi. The water is clean and the air is crisp. There are gorgeous rocks embedded in the ocean. The waves splashing against them is quite a lovely sight. Right down the road from there is Paradise Point, that sports a marvelous view of the ocean from a eroded hill. A great place to go for a mixture of beauty and excitement!

Hawks Bay

A wonderfully sunny and sandy beach. The water is clean and if you need a tan, it is the beach to go to. The huts allow total privacy and the view is magnificent. If you dont owna hut no matter, they have huts for rent. It is definitely worth it. It is a non rocky area portion of our coast so it is the best beach to take the family. A must see in Karachi.

Sand Spit

Quite near hawksbay, it is pretty much the same. A good place for turtle watching and a good view!! Completely unpolluted and positively beautiful. If you go at night there are turtles all over the place. If you are careful, you might even get a ride on one of them.

Paradise Point

Almost at the limit of the Sindh province, Paradise point lives up well to it's name. It is afairly rocky region, so no swimming can be done there, never the less it has a lot f other things going for it. The fact that the water is very clear and you can see to the bottom of the rocky pools there is just one of them. A caution though. Because it is so rocky it can also be dangerous so be careful if you are heading down there.
