Conservation isn't an irresponsible action, neither is a particular prupose without a reazon, humans only preserve what it's appreciated and valuable.
Falcony, " The milenary art to hunt small quarry with a trained bird of prey" is nowdays a clear example of this effort, in fact for the first time in human history, in late 1999 we enjoy a unique fact, " The Anatum Peregrine Falcon (falco peregrinus anatum) and the Artic Peregrine Falcon (falco peregrinus tundrius)" were finally removed from the menacing black endangered species list "CITES", and this was possible thanks to the efforts of all biologists, veterinarians, researchers, volunteers and donors, but must of all due to great FALCONERS whom at the beginings of the thirtys were worried of the incontrolable decline of wild Peregrine Falcon populations which will indoubt cause the eventually extintion of this noble art, they decided to embrace the "almost imposible" challenge of breed birds of prey in captivity, some of them were funders or directors of important international organizations such as " The Peregrine Fund", "The Raptor Research" or 'The Raptor Conservancy" joust to name some of them (it will be an almost imposible task to name and thank all the people involved in this events worldwide), however thanks to all this people, today we are familiar with efective breeding tecniques that grant the existency of all birds of prey.
I thank to all the people who is in any way involved with conservation, and I must tell everybody that Mexican falconers are active, aware and willing to participate in conservation projects.
Conservation starts with knowledege and education, Falconry is not a simple sport that can be learned only by going outfield with a raptor, it involves a living bird of prey that must be fully understanded in order to provide him with the proper cares accordingly to the species, this can only be achieved with constant observation, study and regular practise, but over all you must use reason and common sense.
