These photos were taken from my seat on the airplane during my flight from Sacramento to Houston.  (I was fortunate to be sitting on the correct side of aircraft).

After take-off , the airplane headed east .  It appeared to be travelling  just to south of  Hwy 50.   The flight took us over the very south end of Lake Tahoe.

I started taking photos as we passed over the city of Folsom ... and continued taking photos until plane approached south end of Lake Tahoe.
One can get a general idea of the snowlevels from these photos taken on Tuesday , May 27.

As a reference, one can use the map from WS webpage (
www.ws100.com/cpchart.htm)  or  a topo map of area
Photo 1 : Hwy 50 can be seen in this photo.  The town of Folsom in on the left, and El Dorado Hills in on the right.  Folsom Dam and Lake Folsom are also visible.
Photo 2:   Continuing to follow Hwy 50 , this photo shows    Placerville and surrounding areas.
Photo 4:  Further east
Photo 5:  Two lakes are visible in the lower half of photo....(Is the lake closest to bottom of photo Stumpy Meadows Lake,  Union Valley Reservoir , Ice house Reservoir or Loon Lake?).  Lake Tahoe is also visible.  I cannot locate  Hwy 50 in this photo; I think the airplane may have crossed over to north of Hwy 50  .

The dashed black line in photo is my attempt to trace out WS course from about Squaw Valley to Robinsons Flat.   See
3-D topo map of this area for reference/comparison .
Photo 6:  Further east.....Last photo that was taken.
Photo 3:   Further along hwy 50, snow is becoming evident on the right side of photo beneath airplane wing.  Along hwy 50, this is possibly Camino-AppleHill area or Pollack Pines area ?
