Rato Bangala Foundation

Inspired by the work of Rato Bangala School and the experience in quality education, Rato Bangala Foundation has been set up to bring quality education to the wider Nepali community. Rato Bangala Foundation focuses on educational issues, and seeks to provide better educational opportunities to Nepali children, and eventually make a small contribution to building the nation.

Rato Bangala Foundation is a not for profit organisation, registered under the District Administrative Office and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council. The primary responsibility of the Foundation so far has been the conception and implementation of the one-year Primary Teacher-Training Program run jointly with Kathmandu University, and Bank Street College of Education in New York.

Taking a bold step, the Foundation is now in the midst of organising a national level conference in education. The strength of this conference is its inclusion of educationists from over 23 of Nepal's 75 districts.
