MUSIC
"If music be the food of life, PLAY ON!"
Shakespeare, Twelfth Night
Life is so inconviently categorized and subcategorized. To choose a style of music to call ones favourite is difficult for me.  Bonnie would say my favourite is Classical.  Colleen would say the Beatles, (which is classical music to her). To me there is no easy answer.
This could be a long list.  I' ll stick to a maximum of 5. (no particular order)

Classical ( for anti-stress, creativity boosting and cleaning mode)

1.     Canon-Pachabel-who doesn't?
2.    Bach-Toccata and Fugue, Air on G-String
3.    Beethoven- Ode to Joy, Fur Elise, Midnight and Pathetique Sonatas
4.    Mozart- Clarinet Concerto K622, Serenade for 12 woodwinds, Eine Kleine Naugtmusik
5.    Handel-Largo, Watermusic

Movie Soundtracks (when you just want to sit back and enjoy)
These deserve a category of their own.  It is modern classical music and I really don't like a movie if the soundtrack sucks, (prime example-Titanic-not bad story, awesome special effects-BAD soundtrack), but I digress...

1.    Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves-When Bonnie and I heard the overture, we were aghast!
2.    Star Wars-  without John Williams' genius, I probably wouldn't like it as much.
3.    The Last of the Mohicans- even the soundtrack couldn't save this film, but it's good on it's own
4.    The Lion King
5.    Brassed Off!

Beatles
They deserve their own category in my humble opinion.  I could list many more than five, but that would be long and boring.
1.      Let It Be
2.    When I'm 64
3.    In My Life
4.    Something
5.    She Loves You

For lack of a better word, "Pop/Rock" Music ( When you just gotta rock on)
1.     U2
2.     Our Lady Peace
3.     Lenny Kravitz
4.     Fastball
5.    Creed

The "Uncategorizables"-Like me, for anytime at all.

Canadian Brass-move from Bach to Gershwin to Beatles and back again.  Tell me how to categorize that!!
Great Big Sea
Barenaked Ladies
