One of the three Irish missionaries who came here to convert the Duke. They failed & were killed. This turned out to be a bad idea from a pagean point of view as they were seen as martyrs and were turned into saints. So Würzberg became a pilgramage city and the city became vehemently & solely Catholic until the 19th century even though it was surrounded by catholic towns. | |
