My Robot Supe's Homepage

Brian Schiffer

Welcome to my robot Supe's website

Created using Web Easy Professional
My name is Brian Schiffer and I have been working on electronics since the 4th grade. I started off with some simple projects, such as small rc hovercrafts, and worked my way up from there. This webpage is my way of displaying my current biggest project, Supe. He is based on the Robo-One class robots from Japan. I also have up some videos and pictures of a few other projects I have done.

Supe Bio: This is just a little bit of information and specs on my robot. He is not a simple kit that I assembled. He has evolved over time into the creation that you can view on this website. He is built up of GWS S03T servos that have a torque of about 111oz/in. I chose these servos because they were the cheapest, at about $10, for the highest amount of torque(which would be needed to manipulate his heavy body around). Later I had to replace the plastic gears with metal for another $10 because the gears were ripping apart under the stress. All these servos are controlled by a picopic controller which can control up to 20servos at once. Power is supplied by an old heavy electric RC car battery and it is all being housed inside a large superman action figure that was purchased at Walmart. He is currently controlled serially by a JustBasic program I wrote from scratch on the computer. I have plans to continue improving him and to use him as a base to experiment different ideas out on.
