Smokin' Cracker 3.5/3.7 Guide By Dream

Read this for an understanding of the cracker before continuing!
Why was Smokin' slowing down and stopping?
The cracker started dropping sockets (unknown, server congestion perhaps) causing it to slow down and eventually stop, resulting in a manual click of the 'Resume' button.
Whats different in this new version?
I have added four extra features to the new cracker
1. The first checks for lost connection for dial up users to pause the cracker This will pause cable or dsl users if the status reads socket error for too long!
2. The second will check the status of each socket after connecting and will ReRun any dropped sockets (this saves it from stalling)
3. The third will log all cracked names to the Crackedlog.txt in the dir that you open the cracker from ie: open it from your desktop and that is where the Crackedlog.txt will be!
4. The forth function is the pause box on the 'Status' frame, it allows a pause between each socket connection. You can leave this blank but I find a .1 or .2 of a second pause helps with ReRuns alot!
Why am I getting lots of ReRuns now?
With Smokin' Cracker lll it was dropping sockets until it found a balance causing minimal ReRuns. So it would actually run on less sockets than you stated until it stopped. Now when you try and run the same amount of sockets, the cracker is trying to reconnect the dropped sockets causing a congestion effect because it cant drop the sockets it requires to run comfortably with the new feature!
You have to find the balance between sockets and ReRuns, I allow around 10% ReRuns myself! For sockets it depends on the day alot but anywhere from 10 to 25 sockets, thats on dial up.
