Baked Nigel Edward Dibble...aka N. Ed Dibble, Ed is a fruitcake. However, he's not the yearly extra purchase pawned off on forgotten friends during the holidays. No, to those fruitcakes, Ed is only a distant relative. In 1999, Ed was a welcomed guest in many homes and on many vacations. Why? He was one of 13 fruitcakes racing for points. The interesting things Ed experienced and the places he went earned him points that were totalled on January 8, 2000. The fruitcake with the most points won the race. That fruitcake was Ed. Easy win? On the contrary, this feat was not as simple as it sounded. The competition was stiff, and there were rules that had to be followed.

This web site documents Ed's 1999 travels for the contest. But just because the contest is over, it doesn't mean that Ed's finished with his travels. Ed is a fruitcake on a mission...a mission to see as much of the world a fruitcakily possible.
