Welcome and thank you for visiting this site...
First off, are you a railfan? Or better yet, are you the significant other of a railfan? Care to share your rants and raves? I would LOVE to hear from you! Please share your thoughts, comments or suggestions: "Railfan or Significant Other's Two Cents" or simply sign the guestbook!

Second, a very special welcome Train Board, Railfan.net, and Espee Forever for their encouragement and well wishes.

Finally, if you've visited before, then welcome back! Here's a "heads up" to some of the newer sections that have been added recently, thanks to the numerous contributions of railfans from around the globe:

This site is dedicated...
to the countless yet silent, significant others of railfans out there: who've ever had to sit and watch a train video (basically, an endless stream of trains- during the winter, during the fall, during the summer and during the spring); who've ever had to stand at the neighborhood hobby store for (at least) two hours to wait for their railfan to make their selection (only to do it again next weekend!); who've ever had to be the "look-out" for Railroad police while their railfan took the "shot that had to be taken"; who've ever had to memorize the differences between an SD 40T-2 and an SD 45T-2; who've ever had to hold a lamp (at the expense of that arm losing all feeling) to properly light a model that needs to be photographed; who've ever had to wait three more hours after their railfan specifically said 'I'll be home in ten minutes' because an unexpected engine came by; or who've ever broken the speed limit to "chase" a train and "beat it" to the next railroad crossing.
Your plight has gone unnoticed for too long...
Your anecdotes have gone unrecorded for too long... Your patience has gone uncongratulated for too long... Finally, a site that attempts to shed light on this so-called "hobby" that's more of a lifestyle, no- an addiction, no- an affliction! And finally, a site that proves to you that you are not alone, and that there are others actually like your significant other. Read, laugh, vent, nod your head in agreement, and relate. Who knows? You might just leave and be comforted to learn that your railfan isn't even that extreme!
*** Webmaster's Disclaimer ***
Contrary to popular belief, this web site was not created as a "shrine" to my boyfriend, “Espeeboy” (shameless plug for his ESPEE trace site) … Yes, I love him to death, but I did not learn "html" for the sole purpose of honoring his existence! My procrastination skills have grown to magnanimous proportions ever since I became a "1L" or first year law student. To procrastinate from reading for my Constitutional Law or Tort Law classes, I taught myself "html" and basic web design. My first semester at law school spawned the creation of my very first web site-- devoted to my high school graduating class with the goal of making it easier for me to plan our reunions. With the advent of the spring semester, it was only logical that I create a second web site for the Criminal Law class that I was a Teacher's Assistant for. And that's the real story of how this site came into fruition...
