Update 2003: For those of you who are unaware an official core 3e book called "Savage Species" is due out very soon. This book presents official rules for playing monster races as PC's. The book even contains 'deconstructed monsters' which allows one to play a Minotaur or other monster as a 1st level PC presumably. What this official book means is that, TMI is effectively rendered quite useless. Unless everyone is cheap and decides not to buy the book! Honestly I myself will be buying the book, I think it is great that Wizards is finally expanding their options for players like myself who enjoy busting heads as a Bugbear or laying my hands on everyone in sight with harm as a Half-Fiend Hobgoblin. The site will remain online and perhaps in the coming summer I will give it a new direction. Until then I'll be finishing school and occasionally playing Never Winter Nights, Mechwarrior 4 or Warcraft 3 when I have the time.
