The Encounter
Since the age of nine, I have had but one passion: sports car
racing, and if I created a magazine which specialized in that field
three years ago, it was in order to submerge myself in this
exciting world where man tries to surpass himself while
surpassing others. Since my earliest childhood I have always
dreamt of becoming a race car driver and would imagine myself
following in the footsteps of Fangio. Thanks to some
connections I had made through my magazine, I was able to
compete in automobile races with great success, winning about
a dozen trophies which now decorate my apartment.
If I was going on that morning of December 13th 1973 to the
volcanoes towering above Clermont-Ferrand, it was more for a
breath of fresh air than for the pleasure of driving. Besides, my
legs were itching after one year of racing, going from race track
to race track, and living most of the time on four wheels.
The air was cool and the sky was rather gray with a touch of
fog. I was walking and doing a bit of jogging. I had left the road
where I had parked my car and had planned to go to the center of
the crater of the "Puy de Lassolas" where in the summertime I
often went on a picnic with my family. What a magnificent and
elating place. To think that several thousands of years ago,
exactly where my feet touched the ground, lava spouted at
unbelievably high temperatures... among the scoria some very
decorative volcanic bombs can still be found. Except for the
missing sunshine the dwarfed vegetation makes one think of
Provence. I was about ready to leave, and I was contemplating

one last time the summits of the circular mountain that
had been formed by the accumulation of scoria. So
many times I had enjoyed myself here, sliding down
these steep slopes as if I were skiing. Then all of a sud-
den, through the fog, I noticed a flashing red light and a
kind of helicopter coming down towards me. But a
helicopter makes noise whereas I could hear absolute-
ly nothing, not even the slightest whistle. A balloon?
The object was at about 20 meters of altitude and had a
flat shape. A flying saucer! I had believed in them for a
long time but I never thought that I would see one for
myself. It measured about seven meters in diameter
and was about two and a half meters high, flat un-
derneath with a cone-shaped top. A bright red light
was flashing from the bottom and on top, a white light,
reminding me of a flash unit on a camera, was so daz-
zling that I could not look at it without blinking. Still
silently, the object lowered itself and then stopped at
about two meters from the ground. I was petrified and
stood absolutely still. I wasn't frightened but really
thrilled at what I was now experiencing. I bitterly
regretted not having brought my camera with me.
Then the incredible happened: a trap door opened un-
derneath the machine and a kind of ladder unfolded
down to the ground. I knew that some being was going
to come out and I wondered what it would look like.
Two feet appeared, followed by two legs, which reas-
sured me somewhat because it seemed that I was
about to see a man. At last what I thought was a child
appeared in its entirety, went down the staircase and
walked straight towards me. I then realized he was not
a child in spite of his height which was about one meter
twenty. His eyes were slightly stretch on his temple,
long black hair and a short black beard. He stopped at

about ten meters from me. I still hadn't moved. He was wearing
a green one-piece suit and although his head seemed to be
exposed, it was surrounded by a strange halo.
It was not really a halo, but it looked as if the air around his
face shimmered and vibrated. It gave me the impression that he
was wearing and invisible shield, like a bubble so fine that it was
barely perceptible. His skin was white but slightly greenish like
a man suffering from liver trouble.
He smiled slightly. I thought it best to return his smile. I felt
uneasy. I then nodded my head slightly to say hello. He replied
by doing the same. Trying to discover whether or not he could
hear me, I said:
- Where do you come from?
He replied with a powerful voice, his words well articulated
although somewhat nasal.
- From far away...
- Do you speak French?
- I speak all the languages of the world, - Do you
come from another planet?
- Yes
As we were talking he had approached me until he was about two
meters away from me.
- Is this the first time you have come to earth? - Oh no!
- You have come here very often? - Very
often... to say the least.
- For what purpose do you come? -
Today, to speak to you.
- To me?
- Yes. To you, Claude Vorilhon, publisher of a small

... How do you know all that?
We've been observing you for a long time.
Why me?
This is exactly what I want to tell you. Why did you come
here on such a cold winter morning?
- I don't know... I just wanted to take a walk in the fresh air...
- Do you come here often?
- In summertime, yes, but practically never in this period.
- Then, why today? Have you been planning this walk for a long
time?
- No. I don't know. When I woke up this morning I suddenly
wanted to come here.
-You came because I wanted to see you. Do you believe in
telepathy?
- Yes, of course. It's a subject I have always been interested in as
well as all that which relates to what men call "flying saucers". I
never thought I'd see one myself.
- Well, I brought you here by telepathy. I have many things to
tell you. Have you read the Bible?
- Yes. Why do you ask me that?
- Did you read it a long time ago?
- No, I only bought it a few days ago. - Why?
- I don't know, I suddenly wanted to read it...
- It is also through my telepathic powers that I made you buy it. I
have many things to tell you and I've chosen you for a difficult
mission. Come in my vessel where we'll be able to talk more
comfortably.
I followed him and climbed up the little stairs underneath the
machine. Looking at it closer, it

resembled a flat bell of which the bottom was solid and bulging.
Inside there were two armchairs facing each other and the
temperature was mild although the door was not closed. There
was no lamp, but there was a natural light which emanated from
everywhere. There were no navigation instruments recalling a
pilot's cabin. The floor was made of a sparkling alloy with a
slight tinge of blue. Once I was sitting in the largest but lowest
armchair, which was made of a single material, slightly
transparent, colorless and very comfortable, the little man
settled himself in front of me, in a similar but smaller and
higher seat so his face would be at the same level as mine. Then
he touched a part of the wall and the whole vessel became
transparent except for the base and the top. We were as if in the
open air but in a milld warmth. He suggested that I take off my
coat, which I did, and he spoke.
- You regret very much not having a camera in order to tell all
men about our interview, with proof?
- Of course...
- Listen to me. You will tell them about it but you will do so by
telling them the truth about what they are and what we are.
According to their reactions we will see if we can officially and
freely show ourselves to them. Wait until you know everything
before speaking to them so that you will be able to defend
yourself correctly against those who will not believe you and be
able to bring them incontestable proofs. You will write down all
that I tell you and publish the book regrouping these writings.
- Why have you chosen me?
- For many reasons. First of all, we had to choose someone
from a country where new ideas are welcomed and also where it
is possible- to express

them. France is the country where democracy was born and its
image throughout the world is one of being the country of
liberty. Also, we needed someone intelligent and with an open
mind. Finally and above all, we needed someone who was a free
thinker without being anti-religious. Because you were born of
a Jewish father and a Catholic mother, we consider you an ideal
link between two very important peoples in the history of the
world. Besides, the fact that your activity does not pre-dispose
you at all to making incredible revelations will for the most part
make your words more believable. Not being a scientist you
will not complicate the case and will explain it simply. Not
being a literary man, you will not make sentences complicated
and difficult to read for most.
Finally, we decided to choose someone after the first atomic
explosion which took place in 1945 and you were born in 1946.
We have been following you since your birth and even before.
This is why we have chosen you. Have you any other questions?
- Where do you come from?
- From a distant planet about which I will tell you nothing for
fear that if the men of the earth weren't wise enough they could
come to trouble our peace.
- Is it very far?
- Very far; when I tell you the distance you will understand that
with your present technical and scientific knowledge, you are
not able to go there.
- What do you call yourselves?
- We are men like you and we live on a planet fairly similar to
the earth.
- How long does it take you to come to earth" - As long
as it takes to think about it.
- Why do you come to earth?

To see what men are up to and to watch over them. They are
the future, we are the past.
- Are there many of you?
- Many more than you.
- I would like to go on your planet. Could I?
- No. First of all you wouldn't be able to live there. The
atmosphere is very different from yours and you are not
sufficiently trained to endure the journey.
- Why have me met here?
- Because a volcanic crater is an ideal place to be sheltered
from intrusive looks. Now I'll leave again. Come back tomorrow
at the same time with the Bible and bring something to take
notes with. Don't bring with you any metallic object and don't
talk to anyone about our conversation otherwise we won't meet
again.
He allowed me to go down by the little staircase, returned my
coat to me and waved to me with his hand. The staircase
withdrew, the trap-door closed without any noise and, with
neither a whisper nor the tiniest whistle, the object rose gently
to about 400 meters and then disappeared into the fog.

The following day, I came to the meeting with a note
book, a pen and the Bible. The vessel reappeared on
time and I was once again facing the same little man
who invited me to come in and sit down in the same
comfortable armchair. I hadn't mentioned a word to
anyone, not even to my close relatives and he was
pleased at my discretion. He invited me to take some
notes and began to speak.
- A long time ago, on our far away planet, men had
achieved a scientific and technical level that can be
compared to what your men are about to achieve. They
began creating primitive forms of embryonic life, liv-
ing cells in test tubes. Everyone was thrilled. they
perfected their techniques and eventually created
peculiar little animals, when public opinion along with
the government of our planet forbade these scientists
to go on with their experiments and to create monsters
which could possibly become dangerous to the com-
munity. One of these animals had in fact escaped and
made several victims before being recaptured. Since
interplanetary and intergalactic exploration had
progressed in a parallel direction, scientists decided to
go to a far away planet which would fulfill approx-
imately all the conditions allowing them to survive, so
that they could proceed with their experiments. They
chose the earth on which you live. This is where I would
like you to take the Bible in which you will find traces
of the truth, somewhat distorted by transcribers who
weren't able to technically conceive of such things, and
who couldn't help but finally attribute what had been
described to mystical and supernatural forces.

Only the parts of the Bible which I will translate for you are important.
The other parts won't be mentioned because they are mainly poetic
babbling. However, you must realize that thanks to the law which said
that the Bible must be recopied without changing anything, not even the
tiniest punctuation mark, its original meaning has been conserved
although the text has been added throughout the millennia with mystical
and useless phrases.
First of all take Genesis, in chapter one:
"In the beginning Elohim created the heaven and the earth (Genesis, 1-1)
Elohim, wrongly translated in certain Bibles by "God", means in Hebrew:
"Those who came from the sky" and is in the plural form. It means that
scientists who came from our world first of all looked for the planet
which seemed to them the most suited to the realization of their projects.
They 6t created", in reality discovered the earth and realized that there
they could find all the necessary elements needed for the creation of
artificial life even though the atmosphere wasn't quite identical to theirs".
"And the Spirit of Elohim moved upon the face of the waters". (Genesis,
1-2).
They went on exploratory journeys and they placed what you might
call artificial satellites all around the earth to enable them to study its
composition and its atmosphere. The earth was then, completely
covered with water and heavy fog. "And Elohim saw the light, that it was
good" (Genesis, 1-4).
In order to create life on earth, it was essential to know whether the
sun's rays were noxious to the

earth's surface, and this was closely studied. It turned out that
the sun warmed the earth correctly, without emitting harmful
rays. The "light was good".
"And the evening and the morning were the first day". (Genesis,
1-5). This research took quite a long time. The' "day"
corresponds to the period during which your sun rises under the
same sign on the day of the vernal equinox, equivalent to
about 2000 terrestrial years.
"And divided the waters which were under the firmament from
the waters which were above the firmament". (Genesis, 1-7).
After having studied the cosmic rays above the clouds, they went
below the clouds while remaining above water. Between the
higher waters, the clouds, and the lower waters, the ocean
covered the whole earth.
"Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together into one
place, and let the dry land appear" (Genesis, 1-9).
After having studied the ocean's surface, they studied its bottom
and then realized that it wasn't very deep and of about the same
level all over. Then, with the aid of very strong explosives,
which did the job of bulldozers, matter was raised from the
ocean bed and accumulated to form a land mass which became a
continent. In the beginning, there was only one continent on
earth. Your scientists have realized that all the continents were
derived from the same land mass and would all fit together to
form a whole.
"Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the
fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself,
upon the earth" (Genesis, I-11).

They then created on that splendid and gigantic laboratory,
plant cells from nothing more than chemicals and this produced
an extremely large variety of plants. All their efforts were
aimed at one basic achievement: reproduction. It was necessary
that the blades of grass which they brought to life be able to
reproduce themselves. They spread out throughout the huge
continent in various research groups and each one, according to
the local climate and their inspiration, created various types of
plants. They met at regular intervals to compare their findings
and creations. From a distance their planet studied their
progress with much awe and enthusiasm. The most brilliant
artists later joined the scientists in order to give certain plants a
purely decorative purpose, either by their appearance or their
scent.
"Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the
day from the night: and let them be for signs and for seasons,
and for days, and years" (Genesis, I14).
By observing the stars and the sun, they were able to measure
the length of days, months and years on earth, which enabled
them to adjust their life on this new planet, so different from
their own, and where the days were not of the same length at all
and neither were the years. Astronomical studies enabled them
to locate themselves perfectly and know more about the ea earth.
"Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that
hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open
firmament of heaven" (Genesis, I20). They then created the first
aquatic animals. First came the plankton, then the tiny fish
and,,then the very

large fish. In order to maintain life and a good equilibrium, they
created algae for the little fish to eat, and big fish to eat the
smaller ones, etc.: this would provide a good natural balance and
would prevent the species from destroying completely the
species which they needed for nourishment. This system is what
you now call ecology. It was successful.
They met often and organized contests to designate the team
of scientists which had created the most beautiful or the most
interesting animal.
After the fish, they created birds, under pressure, it should be
said, from the artists who wanted nothing more than to paint the
craziest colors and the most amazing forms. Some of the
animals had difficulty in flying because of their cumbersome
and decorative feathers. The competitions went even further.
After shapes and colors, they started modifying behavior
during mating rituals, inventing each time more spectacular
matrimonial dances. But other groups of scientists created
ghastly animals, monsters, proving that those who had wanted to
ban the experiments on their own planet had been justified.
There were dragons, which you called Dinosaurs, and others
called Brontosaurus, etc.
"Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind,
cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind"
(Genesis, 1-24). After the seas and the sky, they created
terrestrial animals on an earth whose vegetation had developed
magnificently. There was food for the herbivores. They were the
first terrestrial animals created. Then, carnivores were created
to equilibrate the herbivore species. These men came from my
planet. I am one of those who created life on earth.

Then, the more skillful among us wanted to artificially create
a man like ourselves. Each team went to work and soon, we were
able to compare our creations. But the people on our planet
were horrified to learn that we were producing "test tube"
babies, whom they were afraid might one day come to their own
planet and cause a panic. They were afraid that these men might
become dangerous for them, if their capabilities or powers
turned out to be superior to those of their creators. We had to
agree to let them live primitively without revealing anything
scientific, and mystifying our behavior. The number of
creato's 'teams is easy to find; each human race corresponds to a
team of creators.
"Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let
them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl
of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over
every creeping thing that crept upon the earth. (Genesis, 1-
26).
In our image! You can verify that the resemblance is striking.
Then, the problems began for us. The team which was in the
country now know as lsrael~l and which wasn't very far then from
Greece and Turkey on the sole continent, was considered one of
the most brilliant one if not the most brilliant. Their animals were
the most beautiful and the plants, the sweetest smelling. It was
what you called the Garden of Eden. And the man created there
was the most intelligent. They had to take precautions so that
the created being did not surpass the creator. He had to be kept
in total ignorance of the great scientific secrets, but was
educated enough for us to measure his intelligence.

"Of every three of the garden those mayest freely eat: "But of
the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of
it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die".
(Genesis, 11-16-17).
This means that: You may learn all what you want, read all the
books that we have here at your disposition, but don't touch the
scientific books otherwise you will die.
"And out of the ground Yahwe Elohim formed every beast of the
field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to
see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every
living creature, that was the name thereof". (Genesis, 11-19).
It was necessary for him to know all about the plants and
animals surrounding him, their way of life and the way in which,
thanks to them, they could feed themselves. The creators taught
him the names and abilities of all that lived around him, botany
and zoology; for that was of no danger to them. Imagine the joy
of this group of scientists having two children, male and female,
running among them and to whom they taught all sort of things
which they were eager to learn.
"And the serpent said unto the woman... of the fruit of the tree
which is in the midst of the garden... Ye shall not surely die...
For Elohim both know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your
eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods". Knowing good
and evil (Genesis, III 1-2-3-4-5).
Among the scientists in this group, some of them loved their
little children so much that they wanted to

teach them everything. They wanted them to be as
knowledgeable as themselves. They told these young people,
who were practically adults that they could study science and
become as intelligent as their creators.
"And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that
they were naked;" (Genesis, 111-7).
So, they understood that they too could become creators and
this made them very angry with their fathers for having
forbidden them to touch the scientific books considering them
as if they were dangerous laboratory animals.
"And Yahwe Elohim said to the serpent-: Because you have done
this you are accursed more than all cattle and all wild creatures.
On your belly you shall crawl, and dust you shall eat all the days
of your life". (Genesis, 111-14).
The "serpent, this little group of creators who wanted to teach
the truth to Adam and Eve, were condemned by the government
of their original planet to live in exile, whereas the other
creators were told to put an end their experiments and leave the
earth.
"Elohim made tunics of skins for Adam and his wife and clothed
them". (Genesis 111-21).
The creators gave them some rudimentary means to survive
so they could function on their own without contact with them.
Here the Bible has preserved a sentence more or less intact
from the original document.
Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and
evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree
of life, and eat, and live for ever". (Genesis, 111-22).

Man's life is very short and there exists a scientific means that
can prolong it for a great length of time. A scientist who has
studied all his life usually acquires a great deal of knowledge
and wisdom to make interesting discoveries as he becomes
older; this accounts for the tardiness of human progress... If men
were able to live ten times longer, they would make a gigantic
scientific leap. Also, if men could live ten times longer, they
would soon be our equals because their faculties are slightly
superior to ours. They are truly ignorant of their possibilities.
And particularly the people of IsraO who, during one of the
competitions I mentioned earlier, was chosen by the scientific
jury, to be the most intelligent and genius-like humanoids on
earth. That explains why these people have always considered
themselves God's chosen race. It is true that they were the
people chosen by the teams of scientists gathered to judge their
work. You surely have noticed the great number of geniuses that
this race has produced.
"So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden
of Eden Cherubiens, and a flaming sword which turned every
way, to keep the way of the tree of life". (Genesis, 111-24).
Several soldiers carrying atomic disintegrating weapons, were
placed at the entrance of the creators' residence to prevent man
from acquiring other scientific knowledge.

The Flood
If we read further in the Genesis, Chapter IV:
"And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the
fruit of the ground an offering unto Yahwe. And Abel, he also
brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof".
(Genesis IV-3, 4).
The exiled creators who remained under military supervision
had the men bring them food in order to show their superiors
that the beings they had created were good and would never turn
against their fathers.
In this way, they were able to obtain the benefits of the "tree
of life" for the leaders of these first men; this explains why they
lived so long. Adam lived nine hundred and thirty years. Seth,
nine hundred and twelve years and Enos, nine hundred and five
years, etc.
"When men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and
daughters were born unto them, and the sons of Elohim saw the
daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives
of all which they chose". (Genesis, VI-I, 2).
The exiled creators took the most beautiful girls from the
men and made them their wives.
''My life-giving spirit shall not remain in man for ever, for that
he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty
years''. (Genesis VI-3).
Longevity is not hereditary. Therefore, the men's children did
not automatically benefit from the "tree of life", much to the
relief of the authorities on the dis

tant planet. And so, the secret was lost and man's progress was
slowed down.
"When the sons of Elohim had intercourse with the daughters of
men and got children by them, the Nephilin (or mighty men)
were on earth. They were the heroes of old, men of renown".
(Genesis, VI-4).
Here, you have proof that the creators could mate with the
daughters of men, who had been created in their own image, and
that these unions would produce exceptional children. This was
all becoming dangerous in the eyes of the people of the distant
planet. Scientific progress on earth was tremendous and they
decided to eliminate what they had created.
"And Yahwe saw that man had done much evil on earth and that
his thoughts and inclinations were always evil". (Genesis, VI-5).
The evil was the desire to become a nation equal to that of
their creators, a scientific and independant nation. The good
was, for them, that man remained a primitive being vegetating on
earth. The evil was that man wanted to make progress and that he
might one day become the equal of his creator.
Therefore they decided, from their planet, to destroy all life
on earth, by sending nuclear missiles. But those who were
exiled, aware of these plans, asked Noah to build a rocket which
would orbit the earth during the cataclysm, containing a couple
of every species to be preserved. This is figuratively speaking
because in reality, and your scientific knowledge will soon
permit you to understand this, it is sufficient to have a living
cell of each species, male and female, in order to be able to
reconstitute the entire living being.

This is a bit like the first living cell of a being in its mother's
womb, which contains all the necessary elements to have it
become a man one day, right down to the colour of his hair and
eyes. This was a colossal task but it was finished in time. When
the explosion occurred, life was preserved a few thousand
kilometers above the earth's surface while the continent was
completely submerged by an immense tidal wave that destroyed
all life on the surface.
"And the ark was lift up above the earth". (Genesis, VII-17).
It is quite obvious here that it rose above the earth and not
above the water. Then, they had to wait that the last traces of
radio-active fallout had disappeared.
"And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty
days". (Genesis VII-24).
And the three-storied rocket ("with lower, second and third
stories shalt thou make it".) landed on the earth. Inside, besides
Noah, there were a couple of every human race of the earth.
"And Elohirn remember Noah... made a wind pass over the earth,
and the waters began to subside". (Genesis, VIII-1).
After eliminating the radio-active substances scientifically,
the creators asked Noah to let the animals out to see if they
could tolerate the atmosphere, and this was successful. They
were then able to go out into the fresh air. The creators asked
them to go to work and multiply to show thanks to their
benefactors who had created them and saved them from
destruction. Noah took the responsibility of putting aside a
portion of the harvest and stock for their creators to live on.

"And Noah built an altar to Yahwe; and took of every clean beast,
and of every clean fowl, and offered burntofferings on the altar".
(Genesis, VIII-20).
The creators were happy to see that the men weren't angry at
them, and promised never to try to destroy them in the future
because they had understood that it was normal for them to want
to make progress.
"The imagination of man's heart is evil". (Genesis, V111-21).
Man's goal is scientific progress. Each human race was
replaced in its original place of creation and all the animals
were recreated from the cells which had been kept in the ark.
"From them came the separated nations on earth after the
Flood". (Genesis, X-32).

The Tower of Babel
The most intelligent race, the Israelites, were making such
progress that they soon undertook the conquest of space with
the help of the exiled creators. The latter wanted that the men go
to the creators'planet in order to obtain a pardon for them by
showing that the men were intelligent and scientific but grateful
and peaceful. So they built an enormous rocket: the Tower of
Babel.
"And now they have started to do this; hense forward nothing
they have a mind to do will be beyond there reach". (Genesis, XI-
6).
The people on our planet became frightened when they heard
about this. They were still observing the earth and knew that life
hadn't been destroyed.
"Let us go down there and confuse their speech, so that they will
not understand what they say to one another." (Genesis, XI-7).
They came, took the Jews who had the most advanced
scientific knowledge, and scattered them all over the continent,
among primitive tribes, in countries where no one could
understand them because the language was dif f erent, and they d
estroyed all their scientif ic instruments.
