Agape’ Faith Christian Center

Radical in Christ Ministries (RIC) was birthed out of Agape’ Faith Christian Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Under the leadership of Apostles Michael and Kathy O. Berkley, Agape’ is a five-fold ministry that “pastors” pastors.  Those that know this ministry know that Apostle Michael and Apostle Kathy love Jesus more than life and they teach and make disciples who God has called to be leaders in the Body of Christ.  RIC is honored and grateful to Jesus for our parents in ministry and we say along with Agape’, “For God we live and for God we die!” and “No compromise!”

FAQ’s

1.     What is a church without walls?     A church without walls is a church that is not confined mentally or emotionally to a “church” building.  The work of the ministry as described in Ephesians 4:11-13 focuses on building up the leadership who in turn will teach and build-up the membership who will then go forth to do the work of the ministry.  Obviously, a location is needed for this work, but a building is not the basic thrust and quite honestly, a 5-fold ministry intent on building up the people can be based anywhere (recreation centers, homes, etc.)  The focus is Jesus and the people.

2.    What does non-denominational mean?     Non-denominational can mean many different things depending on who you talk to.  At Radical in Christ Ministries (RIC), it means that we do not adhere to any particular person’s doctrine.  “Man’s doctrine” steals, kills and destroys – even the most well intended doctrines.  RIC follows the original plan of the New Testament church as written in Acts and Paul’s epistles.  We also rely heavily on the Old Testament for a richer and deeper understanding of the New Testament.

3.     Why do you dance?  The ministry of the dance is an important part of our worship service.  There is a freedom experienced in dance that is consecrated unto the Lord that is comparable to little else.  As a ministry that encourages and teaches psalmists, RIC’s services include many expressions of worship - dance, song, drama, poetry and whatever else the Lord gives to us to give back to Him.  These offerings are a small part of surrendering our all.

Our Vision

"To tear down strongholds and to train, activate & release disciples of Jesus Christ." Radical In Christ Ministries is a church without walls. We are learning to love Jesus with our whole hearts and how to love the image looking back at us in the mirror. Loving our neighbors is becoming easier because we're learning how to love ourselves. We preach, teach and impart the living ministry of Jesus Christ. What we learn, we are empowered to go forth and teach others. Our services are a time for love, worship, adoration and praise. We're learning to sit at His feet as disciples. There is freedom in the house - freedom to be real; freedom to be healed, set free and delivered in the name of the Lord. We are tearing down strongholds in our own lives, surrendering our wills to His. We are praying that Jesus will turn our city upside down and inside out in His Name and for His purpose.

Charlottesville has hope - His name is Jesus!
