A word from your host:  First and foremost, welcome to my site!  However you got here -- be it by invitation, a directory, word of mouth, or just by accident -- I hope you'll take a moment to look around, read a bit, view some of the images, meet some people I know, or leave a note in my Yahoo! mailbox.

Update (12/12/02) Added GWI Racing recap from SCPRC Atlanta race, with action images.

As my site link says, I am "racinhard61"  -- known to the world, in general, as Rick Brownhill.  Why the strange handle, then?  Well, apart from the fact it's my Yahoo! ID, that's easily explained by saying that my main hobby is racing stock car simulators and when I race online, my identity to the simulator racing community is
racinhard and the number on my custom-painted 2002 Dodge Intrepid R/T NASCAR-style stock car -- as you can see -- is 61. (Taken from Bob Dylan's vintage album: Highway 61 Revisited.) If this all sounds like something out of a Tom Cruise movie and/or you don't know about the fast-growing hobby/sport of online sim racing, there's in-depth info of what simulator racing is all about, including reviews, game-enhancing add-ons, helpful tips and generally first-rate content on all forms of sim racing, at The U.S.Pits.  Click on the link above to visit their site.

This also is the home page of
Gone With It Racing Team (GWI Racing, for short), which is a small group of guys that decided to form an alliance and work together to maximize their individual finishing positions in any sim race they enter. GWI Racing consists of seven members, from various states in the U.S. and one Canadian  -- yours truly.  Currently, we race three nights a week on the SCPRC.com server, using Nascar Racing 2002 Season, by Sierra/Papyrus. (SCPRC is short for Stock Car Pro Racing Club.) For more information on this great sim racing league, which currently has over 50 active members, visit the SCPRC home page by clicking on their link, above.  We're talking about serious points racing, we're talking about camaraderie amongst people who all enjoy doing something for the fun of it, doing it extremely well and, most importantly, enjoy a sense of loyalty and friendship between people that, in some cases, never meet in person.  If you click on the crossed-flags logo, above, you'll go to the GWI Racing page, where you'll find pictures of our cars, with links to each driver's racing biography.  From time to time, I'll update the team page, perhaps with some setup help, and news updates on race results for the team.

Besides the segment on sim racing -- likely to become the main element of the site -- there's the possibility of a photo album being added.  A potpourri of accumulated images, just for something to look at.  Because web sites have a way of building on themselves -- or, perhaps more accurately, growing like a snowball rolling down hill -- the content you find on this visit, will most likely have changed or been added to, by the time you think about checking back.  Like most people, my playtime is whatever's left at the end of a workday.  I'll put some of that time into trying to make this an interesting place to visit.  It won't be the shiniest page on the planet, but it'll be mine.  To paraphrase John Lennon:  "Thanks to all who came and I hope you enjoy the show!"
