One day as three of the ducks was out for the night having fun for once. Something happened. But lets start from the beginning.

“So what’s this place called that you’re taking us Wildwing?” asked Mallory his girlfriend.

A red headed female duck that could fight well and use weapons but didn’t have a clue about machines. He was taking her and his brother out to dinner and somewhere else.

“You’ll see,” he kept saying.

“Dude your going to keep us in suspense not fair” said Nosedive his younger brother.

He had shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes. He was the sarcastic teenager of the team. Finally the car pulled into a Japanese restaurant. They all got out and looked at it.

“Younaka-Fu diner”

"what kind of name is that?” asked Dive.

They didn’t answer but went in. they had a nice dinner and all but the trouble began after dinner. When they got out of the car Dive and Mallory headed to the car but Wing shook his head,

“we’re not riding there we’re walking” he said.

The two looked at each other and shrugged and followed him. They were headed toward the beach. When they got there Wildwing and Mallory decided to sit down and relax and possibly make out. Nosedive decided to take a walk. Thinking about a new Saurian. He was larger than Dragonus and he was green. He wasn’t paying attention to where he was walking so he tripped over something. He came up with a beak full of sand. He got up and brushed himself off and looked at what he had tripped over. It was a crumpled up figure. It seemed to move a little as if it were breathing. He took out his pen flashlight that he always carried. It was a girl. A long piece of cloth was the only thing that covered her up. She was breathing but barely. Her face was beaten and bruised and she was covered in blood. Her arms had claw marks all over them. He had seen this type of thing on Puckworld. Girls only looked like this if they’d been raped. But humans were different. They were weaker it hurt them more than them.

“Wildwing Mallory quick come here we have a problem.”

He called not taking his eyes away from the girl. She had long brown hair. Her lips were cracked and bleeding but you could tell they were full and red. He pushed her hair away from her face. He looked up as his brother and Mallory came beside him.

“Oh my god she’s been raped!!” said Wildwing. “We have to get her to the arena. Mallory you go get the Migrator we’ll carry her to the entrance”

Mallory quickly ran to the migrator. Dive took off his jacket and wrapped it around her body without taking off the bloody scrap that covered her but after wrapping her in his jacket and his t-shirt covering the lower half of her he then slid it out from underneath the two. Dive now had a bare chest. He picked the girl up in his arms. She moved a little but Dive kept her in a firm grip. She must have realized this or she was having a bad thought that had left her and she calmed down. She looked like she was sleeping.

“Hey little brother think you can take your love sick eyes away from the girl and put her on the stretcher in the migrator” said Wildwing as he opened the door.

Dive jumped in and laid her down sitting besides her stroking her hair. Soon they reached the arena. Dive then again picked the frail girl up before his brother could. They carried her down to the medical wing where they could tend to her wounds. But they didn’t now what to do and how to deal with CERTAIN body parts on a woman.

“Tanya we need your assistance down here immediately.”Called Wildwing on his COM.

Soon the blonde haired female came in. She was the one who had blonde hair that stuck up but now it was flowing down by her shoulders still wet from a shower. She wore glasses over her blue eyes. She was the one who was the doctor and the genius of the team.

“God lord what happened to her?” she asked as she looked at her face.

“We think she was raped Tanya.” Said Dive as he looked at the girl.

Tanya looked at them as if to say, “What are you still doing in here?” so they took the hint and left.

Dive stopped and sat on a stool outside the door.

“What are you doing Dive?” Wing asked. “I just thought that I should stay down here and when she awakens I can ask her what happened,” he said.

But in truth he didn’t want to leave this girl. There was something about her that made him want to stay with her. It was like a bond that he felt. Like he couldn’t leave her alone. After about an hour Tanya came out. Dive stood up and looked at her.

“Yes she was raped. The claw marks on her are strange and what ever it was it was huge because some of her ribs are cracked. She should be awake tomorrow morning.” She said and was about to head back in to watch over her for the night.

“Uh Tanya can I watch her for the evening?” he asked as he tried to peer inside the door.

Tanya realized something about him that had to do with the girl.

“Sure Dive but be careful with her. And when she wakes up bring her to me with a towel on and I’ll get Mallory to giver her clothes so that later they can go shopping and hopefully we can find out who did this to her.” She said and walked out.

Dive entered the room and looked at her. She covered by a mere towel and she was shivering. He picked up his jacket and draped it over her. He picked up his t-shirt that had been discarded earlier and put it on and dragged a chair over to her and got comfortable as he looked at her. It was going to be a long night ahead of him.

The next morning

Dive awoke to the sound of someone moving beside him. He looked over to the table. The girl was awake and sitting up looking around her. He stood up. She instantly noticed him. And when she did she screamed. Quickly Dive covered her mouth.

“Whoa hey there calm down I’m not going to hurt you I promise. Please. Don’t scream you’ll wake the others.” He said and took his hand away from her.

“I’m sorry I didn’t mean to it’s just that you scared me” she said as she looked at him with sapphire blue eyes.

“Ah it’s okay I mean after last night I don’t blame you,” he said as he looked at her.

“What’s you name?” she asked him as she continued to stay seated on the table.

She held his jacket up to her chest for protection.

“It’s Nosedive. What yours?” he asked.

“Sydni” she said simply. He finally noticed she was trying to cover herself with his jacket.

“Oh geez I was told to take you to Mallory to get you some clothes” he said as he stood up again.

He offered her a hand. She only looked at it and drew away from him as if scared.

“You promise you won’t hurt me?” she asked him.

“I promise,” he said.

She took his hand. Her hand was small and fit in his hand perfectly. When she got off the table her legs gave out. She fell into Dive you merely held her. She looked up at him and smiled. But then she drew away quickly. Once she stood up properly and she had on her towel straight so no one could see anything except for her legs and arms. They took off down the hall to Mallory’s room. Dive noticed that her hair was shoulder length and swung around her face everyone once an awhile so she would have to brush it away. They were almost to Mallory’s room when a door next to Sydni swung open surprising her so she jumped towards the Dive who held onto her arms in a protective way.Duke came out of the room with only a black and silver robe on him. His hair though was still up and defying gravity. He looked at the small figure that had jumped away. He noticed that she only had a towel around her. It covered her full breast but they didn’t cover her long tanned legs. The only thing wrong was that her arms and legs were covered with deep claw marks.

“Who might this be?” he asked, as he looked her up and down easily.

She gave a scared whimper and clung to Dive’s arm. Dive looked at Duke and glared at him as if to say back off now.

“I’ll explain later” he said and took Sydni to Mallory’s room and knocked on the door.

“Yea Dive what do you want” she asked him roughly not noticing the girl behind him.

The girl still stood behind him scared. Mallory noticed her.

“Who are you?” she asked.

The girl whimpered again. Dive took her hand reassuringly. He looked at Mallory angrily.

“Hey could you be a little easier on her she had a rough night remember?”

Mallory looked confused for a moment. Then nodded her head in agreement.

“That’s right I do remember” she said then looked at the girl. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to frighten you my names Mallory what's your?” she asked.

“Sydni” she said in a whisper.

“Come on in and we’ll get you a shower and some clothes ok?” she said to her holding out her hand to the teenage girl. She looked to Dive.

“Go ahead I’m going to the kitchen so I’ll meet you there okay?” he said.

“Alright Dive” she said then hugged him. “Thank you” she said as she drew away from him. He noticed that her towel was slipping a bit. So he looked down.

“Your welcome now go get cleaned up” he said then took off to the kitchen.

Mallory took her in to the room to get cleaned up. Once Dive as down in the kitchen he was asked questions by the ones who were awake.

“So Dive tell me how you met the babe,” said Duke.

“Well Wildwing Mallory and I went for a walk to the beach and while those two made out I went for a walk and tripped over her. When I looked at her she was covered in blood and I realized she looked like what some of the female ducks looked like on Puckworld after being raped in the mines and I remembered that humans are weaker than us so we got her here” was how he answered.

“Whoa that poor girl” said Duke shaking his head.

“Who would do such a thing?” he asked.

“We don’t now yet but we do now that it was large and heavy that it cracked a few of her ribs and the wounds on her arms and legs must of come from talons or something.” He said.

“It sounds like saurian but why?” Duke asked.

Dive merely shrugged and looked into his glass of OJ. After about a half an hour while every one was in the living room they were waiting for the girl to come out. After an hour of waiting Mallory came down and spoke to Dive.

“Dive she won’t come out unless you come to her” she said and sat down and Dive got up to go the Sydni.

When he got there he opened the door he saw Sydni sitting down on a chair next to the bed. She wore a long white skirt with a nice loose light blue blouse. She stood up and brushed off her skirt. She looked up and Dive with a smile. So far he and Mallory were the only ones she trusted.

“Wow you look nice.” Stammered Dive as he looked at her. She smiled shyly.

“I wouldn’t go down without you,” she said shyly. He smiled and offered her his arm. She took it.

“Shall we” he said.

She laughed for once. It was a soft tinkling sound. Soon they were down stairs were everyone was waiting. Dive led her over to a very large Green chair which she at in with him standing beside her.

“You guys this is Sydni she’s going to be staying with us for awhile ok?” said Wing.

Every one nodded.

“Ok Sydni you already know Dive me Mallory and Tanya but you don’t now the rest of us.” Said Wildwing.

“This is Duke he is the one who knows Swordplay and can teach you to defend your self. And this big guy is Grin. He is totally harmless unless you make him mad.”

That was all of them. She had nodded to all of them in return they had done the same.

“You guys as you know this is Sydni L’ Strange.” He said and leaned in front of the chair.

“All we want ask you is do you now what the thing that did this to you look like?” he asked. She nodded slowly.

“Can you tell us Syd?” Dive asked her. She looked to him and smiled.

“Yes I can.” She said to him in a whisper. “He looked like a large lizard. With teal scales pure white eyes and a golden main. He had a feline grace. He said I should now his name before I died. He said his name was Lizardo that’s all I now” she said. She started to shiver a bit. Dive took her hand and squeezed reassuringly.

“Hey Wing that sounds a lot like the new saurian that just started to work for Dragonus” said Mallory.

Wing turned to his Girlfriend. "You right love it does.” He said suddenly Drake 1 sent off its alarm to say that Dragonus is attacking something. Tanya typed a few keys then turned to the others.

“He’s at the docks in the old warehouse that holds a lot of weapons the Police use.”

Wing turned to the others. “Let’s rock ducks.” He said every one ran out. Dive took Sydni on a motorbike. She clung to him like she was going to fall off. He rather enjoyed having this pretty girl cling to him. He felt his heart beat a little faster. Was he falling in love with this human? He pondered this for a while until they reached the docks. When they got there they ran inside Sydni was behind them so no one heard or saw her get grabbed by a large scaly clawed hand grab her and pull her into the darkness. Finally they reached a large empty room with no lights.

“Dude where are we?” asked Dive as he looked around he realized that Sydni wasn’t with them anymore.

“ Shit” he muttered under his breath as he looked around aimlessly for the girl.

“Sydni, Sydni where are you?” he called out.

Soon every one was looking for the lost girl. Then the lights flashed on.

“IS this what you are looking for Ducks?” came a voice from the edge of the room.

Very one looked to where it came from. There was Lord Dragonus and another large teal color saurian holding Sydni by the waist with one clawed arm and one over her mouth. She looked terrified and like she was going to cry. Beside Dragonus was Wraith and his crystal was starting to glow and Dive felt as if his brain was being picked with a rusted pick.

“Sydni” Dive cried.

“What’s the matter Duck boy miss your girl friend. Wraith read your mind. You like this little one huh?” Dragonus said.

Every one turned to Dive. “You like a human Dive?” gasped Duke as he looked at Dive whose head was lowered in shame.

“Do you little brother?” Asked Wing settling a hand on his shoulder. Dive looked up.

“Yes, Yes I do. I like Sydni and no one is going to change my mind” he said and turned to Dragonus with his Puck launcher aimed at him.

“Tell you friend to let her go or I’ll be forced to shoot your lizard brains out,” he said slowly.

Dragonus laughed. “Tell him Little Duck to let her go. He mated with her so she is his.” He said pointing to the teal saurian that held a now crying Sydni.

Tears were running down her face. The hand came away from her face. She had marks on her cheek where the claws had dug in to her creamy flesh.

“You want her boy then go get her.” He snarled and threw her to the middle of the floor. She landed one her hands and knees and looked up at Dive with tears in her eyes. Some thing else was there as well. Dive looked at her as silent tears ran down her cheeks. The look in her eyes was LOVE!! He ran over to her but not quick enough the Saurian’s tail whipped over and grabbed her wrenching her away from the one she wanted to be with. The two were only feet away.

“Sorry boy but not quick enough she’s my bride now and you and your friends will die.” He said he threw Sydni down to the floor where she stayed motionless.

Chains came down from the ceiling and wrapped around the ducks and one came down and wrapped around Dive. He stood there with his beak up bravely. The saurian came over and slapped him across the face several times. Dive started to bleed from the claws as Dragonus laughed once and disappeared. The other ducks called out to him. He ignored it all. Soon he fell to the floor beaten. The Saurian brought out a large knife from his sheath at his hip and raised it above his head.

“And now you die.” He said.

“DIVE” the others all called.

The Saurian suddenly staggered blood dripped onto Dive’s beak. He looked up to see the end of a sword sticking out of the Saurian’s back. The saurian dropped the knife with a clatter to the floor in front of Dive. He turned around to see Sydni standing up but barely. Blood dripped from her eye.

“You bitch you’ve killed me” he rasped. She spat at him.

“GO to hell where you belong.” She managed to say.

He hit her one last time that knocked her into a wall where she fell to the floor in a bloody heap motionless. He then fell to the ground dead. The chains came unloose. Every one looked around for Dragonus to see he had left. They all ran to Dive who was standing up now free of his chains. He looked to Sydni who was still on the ground. He ran to her and picked her up and laid her in his lap and looked at her. Tears ran from his beak to her bleeding face. Wing rested his hand on Dive shoulder as they shook with his sobs.

“I guess it was her time Dive. I mean she did get beaten a lot but she saved you ya now.” He said.

“She was only 15 she shouldn’t have died especially for me,” he said. Suddenly there was movement in his arms. He looked down at the body. She was still alive!! He picked her up. She was still unconscious. He rushed to the Migrator with the others. They rushed back to the HQ and got her treated. All the time she was being treated Dive would not leave her side at all. He stood there and held her hand and looked into her unconscious face. Afterwards they got her to her room where Dive stayed with her. Finally after a day of sleep she awoke to see Dive they’re holding her hand as he slept. She sat up waking him up.

“Your ok” he said and hugged her.

“Oh Dive I was so scared I thought you wouldn’t save me” she said as she hugged him back.

He pulled her away so he could look at her.

“Don’t think that I-I loved you I wouldn’t let anything happen to you. I still love you.” He said and let her go looking embarrassed.

A hand rested on his shoulder. He looked up to see her smiling face.

“Dive I’ve always been afraid to let anyone love me because I was afraid they wouldn’t love me back or that they would die like my parents did when I was 10 and then that Saurian thing raped me. I was so scared to let anyone near me afraid it would happen again but I felt like I had to be near you, your different and I guess well I like you too”

The last part she whispered and looked down. He lifted her chin up with two fingers. They looked into each other’s eyes. They both realized that there was love there. Dive lowered his head and kissed her. A burning kiss that sent flames roaring down their bodies. They pulled apart when they heard a voice.

“I guess you found true love huh Syd.” It came from the doorway.

They turned to it to see Wing standing there. The two started to blush madly.

“Hey all I’ve got to say is Sydni welcome to the Team” he said and walked out.

Dive turned to her again. “Welcome to the team” he whispered before kissing her again which led to even more kissing because Dive and her were so happy to have found there true love they didn’t want to leave each others arms.

There will be a sequel. Dive and Sydni’s love is tested when Sydni catches dive with another girl duck that isn’t as she appears. And there’s a new member and will Duke finally find a girl to love? From Sydni
