My First Autocross Event

I started autocrossing in '94 with my RWD Corolla GTS. At my first autocross event, the car was already lowered with new shocks, but the suspension settings were not well set up yet. However, I managed to lag behind an experienced driver driving an LSD-equipped RWD Corolla GTS with race tires by just 2 seconds and I was able to beat a '90 Integra, a '86 Prelude, and some other cars in my group. That was the first time I found out a car's handling characteristics can be totally different on a course than on the streets. The Corolla GTS understeered heavily on the streets. But on the course, the front was quite eager to turn around corners with just mild understeer.
