In April of 1995, we travelled to the province of Alberta to celebrate our first wedding anniversary in the Canadian Rockies.  We stayed in the resort town of Banff at the historic Banff Springs Hotel.   We also visited Lake Louise and Calgary.  It was one of the best trips we've ever taken, and we look forward to visiting again in the future.  However, next time we will visit during the summer or early fall when the lakes are turquoise and not frozen.  That was something two Alabamians weren't expecting at the end of April, and Cindy still laughs about the plans I had for us to go canoeing on Lake Louise.  Below you will find photographs of some of the sites we saw there.
