"My Catholic Faith - What I Believe"
Much more information is located there.
I wanted to create a site dedicated to the Catholic Church and the teachings I hold close to my heart.  I may be borrowing some information from other sites and will try to give credit where credit is due.
I frequently visit Holy Hill, Shrine of Mary in Hubertus, Wisconsin.  The church is located on the highest point in Wisconsin.  From the observation deck you can see for miles. While walking the grounds and visiting the Stations of the Cross, you can feel close to nature and God's wonderful creations. Every season is breath-taking. My visits to the Carmelite Friars has helped me strengthen my faith in God.  I have been more committed to my faith then ever before.  I am proud to be member of the community of St. Catherine's of Alexandria and serve God and my church as an Eucharistic Minister.
My Jesus, I believe that You are in the Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I long for You in my soul. Come spiritually into my heart. As though You have already come, I embrace You and unite myself entirely to You; never permit me to be separated from You again.
Nicene Creed
(What Catholics Believe)
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
of all things seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
One in Being with the Father
Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
He came down from heaven:
by the power of the holy spirit
He was born of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.

For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered, died, and was buried.
On the third day, He rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures;
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and His kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son He is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.
Amen.

The Apostles' Creed
(What I Believe)
I believe in God the Father Almighty,

The whole creed speaks of God.  When it speaks of God it also speaks of man and of the world.  The faithful first profess their belief in God.  The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of the Christian faith and of Christian life.  This is the Catholic Faith.  We worship one God in the Trinity.  For the person of the Father is one, the Son is another, the Holy spirit another but the Godhead of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is one, their Glory equal, their majesty coeternal.

Creator of heaven and earth;

God alone created the universe freely, directly and without help.  God created the world to show forth and communicate his glory that his creatures should share in his truth, goodness, and beauty.  This is the glory for which God created them.  Heaven and Earth means all that exists, creation in its entirety.

and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;

God sent forth his Son to redeem his people from their sins so they may enter the kingdon of heaven.

Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,

The Son of God became man.  By this you know the Spirit of God.  The Annunciation of Mary inaugurates the fulfillment of God's promises and preparations.  Mary was invited to conceive him in whom the "whole fullness of deity" would dwell bodily.  Mary was told, "The Hold Spirit will come unto you."  The Holy Spirit was sent to sanctify the womb of the Virgin  Mary causing her to conceive the eternal Son of the Father.  God sent forth his Son.  By the grace of God, Mary remained free of every personal sin her whole life.

suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.

Jesus freely offered himself for our salvation.  Christ died in fulfillment of the Scriptures.  By the grace of God, Jesus tasted death for everyone.  God ordained that his Son die for our sins.

He decended into hell;

It was from out of the depths of death that He made life spring forth.  Jesus did not descend into hell to deliver the damned not destroy the hell of damnation, but to free the just who had gone before him.  "The dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live."

the third day He arose again from the dead;

The Good News: He had fulfilled his promise by raising Jesus.  The Resurrection is mysteriously transcendental insofar as it is the entry of Christ's humanity into the glory of God.

He ascended into heaven, and seated at the right hand of the Father;

Jesus Christ, the head of the Church, precedes us into the Father's glorious kingdom, so that one day we may be with him forever.  On Judgment Day, Christ will come in glory to achieve good over evil which has grown up together in the course of history.

from hence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

When he comes at the end of time to judge the living and the dead Christ will reveal the secret disposition of hearts and will render each man according to his works and according to his acceptance or refusal of grace.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

No one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is the one we adore and glorify with the Father and the Son.  From the beginning to the end, whenever God send his Son, He always sends his Spirit, their mission conjoined and inseparable.  The Holy Spirit, that Christ pours out on his members, builds, animates and sanctifies the Church.  She is the sacrament of the Holy Trinity's communion with man.

the Holy Catholic Church,

The word "Church" mean convocation or assembly.  In christian usage it means liturgical assembly.  It designates the assembly of those whom God's word has gathered together to form the People of God and who themselves nourished with the Body of Christ, become the Body of Christ.  The Church is Catholic in that it administers the totality of the means of salvation.  She speaks for all men and all times.  She is "missionary od her very nature".

the Communion of Saints,

The communion of saints means "in holy things" and "among holy persons.  It is not merely by the title of example that we cherish the memory of those in heaven.  We seek rather that by this devotion the unity of the whole Church is strengthened.  Being more closely united to Christ, those who dwell in heaven fix the whole church more firmly in holiness.  They do not cease to intercede with the Father for us.  The Church is a "Communion of Saints".

the forgivness of sins,

The Creed links "the forgiveness of sins" with its profession of faith in the Holy Spirit for the risen Christ entrusted to the apostles the power to forgive sins.  When he gave them the Holy Spirit by Christ's will, the church possesses the power to forgive sins through its bishops and priests in the Sacrament of Penance.

the resurrection of the body,

By death the soul is separated from the body, but in the resurrection God gives life to our body and transformed by union with our soul.  Just as Christ is risen and lives forever, so all of us will rise at the last day.

and life everlasting

Every man receives his eternal recompense in his immortal soul from the moment of his death in a particular judgment by Christ, the judge of the living and the dead.  We believe that souls of all who die in Christ's grace are the People of God beyond death.

..........Amen..........

The Creed's final "Amen" repeats and confirms its first words "I Believe".  To believe is to say Amen to God's words, promises and commandments.

Excerpts taken from the Catechism of the Catholic Church

Faith

By faith, man completely submits his intellect and his will to God. With his whole being man gives his assent to God the revealer. Sacred Scripture calls this human response to God, the author of revelation, "the obedience of faith"

To obey (from the Latin ob-audire, to "hear or listen to") in faith is to submit freely to the word that has been heard, because its truth is guaranteed by God, who is Truth itself.

Faith is first of all a personal adherence of man to God. At the same time, and inseparably, it is a free assent to the whole truth that God has revealed. As personal adherence to God and assent to his truth, Christian faith differs from our faith in any human person. It is right and just to entrust oneself wholly to God and to believe absolutely what he says. It would be futile and false to place such faith in a creature.

For a Christian, believing in God cannot be separated from believing in the One he sent, his "beloved Son", in whom the Father is "well pleased"; God tells us to listen to him. The Lord himself said to his disciples: "Believe in God, believe also in me." We can believe in Jesus Christ because he is himself God, the Word made flesh: "No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known." Because he "has seen the Father", Jesus Christ is the only one who knows him and can reveal him.
